Passengers right based on law no 23 year 2007

1. Book one: General Principle art.1 (11):

Train support facility is anything that complements railway transportation organization that can
provide facilities, comfort, and safety for rail service user.

It means that passenger have a right to get supporting facilities of the train in
order to make them easy, comfort and safe in using this kind of transportation.

2. Art.132 (2):

People who already have a ticket entitled to receive service in accordance with the
selected level of service

Right to get a equal service as what the passengers choose.

3. Art.164 (2):

In the event of any damage to goods when goods are received, the receiver may file objections and
request for compensation no later than 7(seven) after receiving the goods.

Right to claim damages.

4. Art.172:

Society rights :
a. provide input to the Government, Organized by Infrastructure Railways, and Facility Operator of
Railways in the context of coaching, implementation, and supervision of railways;
b. received services in accordance with the implementation of railway standard minimum service and
c. obtain information about the main points of the railway master plan and railway services.

Right to give advice concerning about anything related to railway or train.

Right to get the standard minimum service.
Right to get the information of the main program of the carrier.

1. Art.90:

Rail Infrastructure organizers have the right and authority to:

a. regulate, control, and watch the train journey;
b. stop the operation of the facility if the railways can endanger train;
c. to control the train service users who do not meet requirements as users of railway services in the
station;
d. prefer a train journey in the intersection of plot with road;
e. receive payments from the use of railway infrastructure and
f. receive compensation for damage to railway infrastructure caused by errors of Railway Facility
Operator or the third party.
 Right to regulate, controlling and cared for the train activity.
Right to stop the operation of the train if it is endangers the train activity.
Right to raid the passenger who dont fill the condition to be a passenger.
Right to emphasize train rather than the other vehicle in cross way.
Right to accept payment from the passengers.
Right to get repayment.

2. Art.136:

"(1) In the transport activities of Organized Support Rail authorities to:

a. checking tickets;
b. action against service users who do not have a ticket;
c. discipline its train service users or people who disturb train travel; and
d. conducting oversight and guidance to the community potentially causing disruption of train travel.
(2) Organizer Rail Facility in certain circumstances can cancel train travel if there are things that can
endanger safety, order, and the public interest. "

Right to checked tickets.

Right to take action against the passengers who dont have a ticket.
Right to take action against the passengers or the society who disturb the train
activity.
Right to look after and watch the society who tend to disturb the train activity.
Right to cancel the train activity if it could endanger the social safety.
3. Art. 142 (1):
"In the transportation activities by train, Organizer Means Railways authorities to:
a. check the suitability of goods by mail transport of goods;
b. refused transport goods that are not in accordance with the letter transport goods and
c. reported to the authorities when the goods will transported is forbidden goods. "

Right to check the compatibility between the goods and its paper.
Right to refuse the goods which not compatible with its paper.
Right to call the police if the goods are illegal or prohibited.
4. Art. 170:
"Organizer and Organizer Rail Infrastructure Facilities Railways right to demand compensation
benefits to parties who cause losses against infrastructure of railways, railway facilities, and people
who hired.

Right to sued repayment to someone who create damaged over the train and every
single thing related to it.
