Supplication for a Deceased (woman)

Alla>hummaghfir Laha> war H}amha>, waA<fiha>, wafu Anha> wa Akrim Nuzulaha>, wa

Wassi Mudkhalaha> Waghsilha> Bilma>i wath Thalji wal Barad, wa Naqqiha>, minal
Khat}a>ya> kama> Naqqaitath Thawbal Abyad}a minad Danas, wa Abdilha> Da>ran
Khaira(n)m min Da>riha>, wa Ahlan Khaira(n)m min Ahliha> wa Zawjan Khaira(n)m min
Zawjiha>, wa Adkhilhal Jannah, wa Aidh-ha> min Adha>bil Qabri, wa min Adha>bin Na>ri.

O Allah, Forgive her, have mercy on her, give her peace and pardon her. Receive her with honour and
make her entrance (grave) spacious. Wash her with water, snow, and ice and cleanse her of her faults
like a white garment is cleansed of stains. Requite her with an abode better than her abode, with a
family better than her family and a spouse better than her spouse. Admit her into Paradise and
protect her from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire.

Alla>hummaghfir li H{ayyina> wa Mayyitina> wa S{aghi>rina> wa Kabi>rina>, wa

Dhakarina> wa Untha>na> wa Shahidina>, wa Ghaibina>. Alla>humma man Ah}yaitahu
minna> Faah}yihi Alal I<ma>ni, wa man Tawaffaitahu minna> Fatawaffahu Alal Isla>mi.
Allahumma la> Tah}rimna> Ajrahu wa la> Tud}illana> Badahu.

O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our young and our old, our men folk and our womenfolk,
those who are with us and those who are absent. O Allah, whomever you give life from among us give
him life in Faith, and whomever you take away from us take him away in Isla>m. O Allah, do not
deprive us of his reward (for supplicating for the deceased) and do not lead us astray after him.

Alla>humma Amatuka wabnatu Amatika, Ih}ta>jat Ila Rah}matika wa Anta Ghaniyyun an

Adha>biha> in Ka>nat Muh}sinatan Fazid fi> Ih}sa>niha>, wa in Ka>nat Musi>atan
Fataja>waz Anha.
O Allah, Your female slave and the daughter of Your female slave is in need of Your mercy, and You
are without need of punishing her. If she was pious then increase her reward and if she was a
transgressor then pardon her.

Alla>humma Inna Fula>nabna Fula>nin fi> Dhimmatika wa H{abli Jiwa>rika Faqihi min Fitnatil
Qabri wa Adha>bin Na>ri wa Anta Ahlul Wafa>i wal H{aqqi, Alla>humma Faghfir lahu war
H}amhu innaka Antal Ghafu>rur Rah}i>mu
O Allah, surely [name of the person] is under Your care and in the rope of your security, so save him
from the trial of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire. You fulfill promises and grant rights.
O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, surely You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
