Fourth Grade Math Goal for 2017-2018

GOAL: When given the mid-year 2017-2018 Iowa Assessment Mathematics test,
20% (6 students) of the students from the identified non-proficient group will score
on or above the standard score of 185.

Fourth grade identified 30 fourth grade students who were less than proficient on
the 2016-2017 Iowa Assessment of Mathematics test. There are both general
education and special education students included in this group. These 5 non-
proficient students had standard scores that ranged from third grade scores of 137-
177. Students that are proficient would have a minimum standard score of 185.

Strategies include:
Flexible grouping for workshop based on student needs
Fact fluency practice/strategies
Core small group instruction
Core whole group instruction
Problem solving skills

Fourth Grade Reading Goal for 2017-2018


GOAL: When given the 2017-18 Iowa Assessment Reading test, 20% (6 students)
of the students from the identified non-proficient group will score on or above the
standard score of 185 on the Iowa Assessment test.
Fourth grade identified 32 students who were less than proficient according to their
standard scale score on the Reading test of the 2016-17 Iowa Assessment scores.
There are both general education and special education students included in this
group. These 6 non-proficient students had standard scores that ranged from third
grade scores of 146-168. Students that are proficient would have a minimum
standard score of 185.
