PRODUCT

EPOFINE740 is a medium viscosity electrical grade liquid epoxy resin and FINEHARD TM
918 is a modified anhydride hardener. The resin and hardener is processed along with
Accelerator062.

APPLICATION

EPOFINE 740 / FINEHARDTM 918 / Accelerator062 is suitable for impregnation of high

voltage bushings, coils etc. The same system is also used for making composites for electrical
applications by pultrusion, pressure moulding or by filament winding. FRP composite rods and
equipment cast or impregnated with the above resin and hardener are suitable for medium and
high voltage applications.

SPECIAL FEATURES

The following advantages make it ideal for industrial use.

Simple mixing ratio (Resin : Hardener : Accelerator = 100 : 85 : 0.5 by weight)
Tolerant mixing ratio ( 2 %).
Low viscosity resin/hardener mix, ensures proper wetting of the reinforcing fibre.
Good mechanical and electrical properties at elevated temperatures.
Good ageing resistance.

STORAGE , HANDLING AND DISPOSAL

Storage : Store in a cool, dry place.

Shelf life : As given above, when stored in original sealed
containers at 2 40oC.
Handling : Use hand gloves and protective glasses.
Disposal : Dispose by incineration or as per local regulations.

Flash point : Look for the individual values as above

Precautions : In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
In case of eye irritation, bathe the affected eye with
running water for at least 15 minutes, and get
medical attention.
