TIC -TAC -TOE SPELLING

Pick any three of the following activities to complete for the week.
You may go down (vertical), across (horizontal), or diagonal. A few things to remember:
1. You must complete a practice test and have your parents sign it on Thursday.
2. Make sure you check or highlight the 3 boxes you used this week.
3. Staple all your work for the week together with this spelling contract and turn it in
to your teacher on Friday.

Write all of your spelling words
separating them by syllables.

Use a dictionary or
howmanysyllables.com to check
your work!
Write all 17 spelling words two
times each, using your neatest
handwriting.
OR
You can TYPE your spelling words
and print them out.
Write your spelling words 3 times.
Once in pencil, once in crayon,
and once in marker/colored
pencil. Use your neatest
handwriting!
Create a word search for all 17
spelling words. You may use
the computer or write your
own. Have a friend or family
member solve it!
Sort your words according to
this weeks spelling patterns!

words in ABC order!
Pick 10 of your spelling words
and come up with 3 rhyming
words for each word.
Ex: Pig
Jig, Dig, Fig
Write all 17 spelling words and
color the vowels in each word
yellow. Use a marker, a
highlighter or a crayon!
Remember: Vowels are
A, E, I, O, U
Adding My Words
Write your words and then find
the value of each word. Vowels
are worth 10, consonants are
worth 5.
Ex: said - 10+5+5+10=30
