City)

The proposals listed above are ranked according to personal preference and assessment of feasibility
of data collection and project completion. Attached to this letter are the executive summary of these
proposals.

THESIS PROPOSAL 1

I. THESIS TITLE:

TRIUMPH: A verdant and thriving Trade and Business Hub in the new heart of the City of
Bacoor
II. Abstract:
The City of Bacoor is known to be a suburb area beside Metro Manila. It is a city that aims for
growth and progress. The old town of Bacoor was then transformed into a city through the sign of
Former President Beningno Noynoy Aquino and votes of its people five years ago. This turned the city
into its sustained development. In fact, according to Bacoor City CLUP (Comprehensive Land Use
Plan) and CDP (Comprehensive Development Plan) for 2015- 2025, the city government is being
productive in developing its commercial and institutional competences in order to answer the increasing
population of the city. The relocation of the governments central office from the historic plaza of
Barangay Tabing Dagat (also known as Poblacion) to the recently built Bacoor Government Center
(BGC) located in Molino Boulevard in Barangay Bayanan would decongest the old Bacoor (at Brgy.
Tabing Dagat) which is prone to flooding and traffic congestion and spur new development in the
southern part of the city.
About three decades ago, Molino was a creepy barangay of the Municipality of Bacoor where
people avoid going to because it was a notorious dumping ground for salvage victims. Today, after the
transfer of the City Hall of Bacoor from Barangay Tabing Dagat (Poblacion) to its new Government
Center at Barangay Bayanan, Molino, the place had suddenly become an area for growth and
development just waiting for the right people, bold and aggressive investors, to come and share in the
opportunities being offered. These things bring to the subject of this Design Project Study entitled
TRIUMPH: A verdant and thriving Trade and Business Hub in the new heart of the City of Bacoor.
The proposed project is a mixed-use (commercial and offices) trade and business hub in which
economic, social, and cultural services of the town are concentrated. It incorporates the use of green,
sustainable methods and showcases the modernity, history and culture through design considerations.
In case of approval, this project will provide job opportunities to the locals and people from nearby
towns which can be a help somehow to lessen the commuters and traffic congestion in Metro Manila.
III. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
MAJOR OBJECTIVE
To design a mixed-use Trade and Business Hub that will cater the necessities of the
community and to promote tourism.
MINOR OBJECTIVES
1. To encourage investors and entrepreneurs to invest in the city.
2. To give employment to the residents of Bacoor City and other nearby places.
3. To enhance the tourism potentials of the city.
4. To help lessen somehow the traffic congestion in Manila by means of relocating some
businesses from Manila to adjoining provinces.
IV. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

PROPOSAL 2
I. CAPSTONE TITLE:

A Proposed Verdant and Virtuous Approach on the Rehabilitation of United Church of

Christ in the Philippines Mother Church and Salinas Evangelical School.

II. Abstract:

The United Church of Christ is a Christian church that applies Evangelical Protestantism all
around the world. It was brought in the Philippines by some ministers and presbyters who formed the
Methodist and Presbytarian churches in 1921.

The design project entitled A Proposed Verdant and Virtuous Approach on the Rehabilitation
of United Church of Christ in the Philippines Mother Church and Salinas Evangelical School is a
respond to the growing population of the church and school. The UCCP- Salinas started with just 40
members and blown up to 350 members. In order to cater its continuous needs, the church council
decided to propose a budget on the chapel and schools rehabilitation and expansion.

I. CAPSTONE TITLE:

Pampangas Next Growth and Development Center: Clark Green Citys Medium- rise Verdant
and Disaster- Resilient Mixed- use Hub.

In accordance to the Build, Build, Build Infrastructure Program of President Dutertes 10 point-
socio- economic agenda in 2016-2017, the acceleration of infrastructure is spending to account for five
percent of gross domestic product, with public-private partnerships playing a key role. Clark Green City
was said to be a hub for economic growth. It was already foreseen not only with the lives of the local
community but with its surrounding areas and the whole nation as well. According to Bases Conversion
and Development Authority (BCDA) Assistant Vice President for Corporate Communications Office
Leilani Macasaet, business hubs and mixed use developments will generate jobs for many Filipinos and
residential areas within it. It will also enable them to have an ease of mobility between work and home.
These principles involve the idea of the development plan of the Dutertes administration in Clark-
Green Citys mixed-use development. In fact, government agencies such as National Economic
Development Authority, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Transportation,
Bases Conversion Development Authority and their private partner, Filinvest Land Incorporated, are
now working together in order to push this project.
