Rendahnya asupan gizi pada anak usia sekolah akan membawa dampak
negatif pada peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Dampak negatif yang
dapat terlihat antara lain pertumbuhan fisik, konsentrasi dan prestasi. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan prestasi
belajar siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Banda Sakti Lhokseumawe. Jenis
penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan
teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode proportional random sampling.
Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 81 siswa. Analisis hubungan antara status
gizi dengan prestasi belajar menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan hasil p = 0,001
(< = 0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah status gizi terbanyak yang
dimiliki responden yaitu status gizi normal dan prestasi belajar terbanyak adalah
prestasi belajar baik. Data ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang
signifikan antara status gizi dengan prestasi belajar siswa.

Child development is an important determinant of health over the life
course. Early years are golden age (0-5 years) for child development and
therefore, education should be carried out since the birth of a child. The
Government of Indonesia participates in the early childhood development by
facilitating early childhood education or PAUD. Early childhood education is an
important stimulation for child development. The aim of this research was to learn
the relationship between the history of early childhood education and child
development based on pra screening development questioner or KPSP at class B
Kartika XIV-3 kindergarden Lhokseumawe. This research was analytical with
cross sectional approach. This research was done in April 2014 Januari 2015.
The total of sample was 123 children who based on inclusion and exclusion
criteria. Analyisis of the relationship between the history of early childhood
education and child development based on pra screening development questioner
or KPSP used Chi Square test ( 2 ). The Chi Square test ( 2 ) resulted p= 0,02
(<=0,05), there was relationship between early childhood education and child
development based on pra screening development questioner or KPSP at class B
Kartika XIV-3 kindergarden Lhokseumawe and advised the parents to pay more
attention to the development factors of their child, especially early childhood
education.
