Introduction
F6150 (A), F6300, F6350 CPU2 power system simulators firmware version 4.30.1 adds new
features and corrects problems with version 4.29.4.
Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures.
Version 4.30.1 is a product of continuing development from Doble Engineering as well as valued
input of our customers.

Software Compatibility

F6150 (A) CPU2 and F6300 firmware version 4.30.1 is recommended for the following Doble
software versions:
ProTesT Version 2.09.5 or higher

F6TesT Version 2.19 or higher

F6MeterControlPanel Version 2.10 or higher

Transwin Version 2.05 or higher

F6000 Control Panel Version 2.06 or higher

Protection Suite Version 2.0 or higher

IEC 61850 GSE Configurator Version 2.0 or higher

F6350 CPU2 and F6300 firmware version 4.30.1 is recommended for use with the F6 Multiple
Amplifier Configurator software, versions 2.0.5.4 or higher, configured with up to 16 F6350s
and/or F6300s for use with a simulation such as the Real Time Digital Simulator (DTDS).

Please note that earlier software versions have compatibility issues and some features may not
function properly.

New Features and fixed problems in Firmware 4.30.1

Waveform generation with improved accuracies for PMU testing.

Enhanced GOOSE / GSE packet time stamping: GPS else SNTP logic

o Auto selection mechanism of using GPS signal if both GPS and SNTP service are
available. If only GPS is available then GPS time will be used. If only SNTP service

is available then SNTP time will be used.

o SNTP service on network only broadcast is supported.

o SNTP timeout is fixed at 200 seconds.

GOOSE Time to live (TTL) changes:

o Fixed the issue about TTL information being 1010ms when the maximum
transmission setting is set to less than 2510ms

o If retransmit time after an event is set to less than 10ms

Packets are transmitted immediately (in rapid succession).

Subsequent packets retransmit time is truncated to nearest 10ms. Due to the

truncation, TTL may be a little shorter than originally calculated as it sums
the 2 retransmit times and adds 10ms.

Fixed the issue with signals outputs not synching in line synch mode.

Fixed the issues with Goose I/Os 33 to 64 and 97 to 99.

Fixed the issue with Phase Offset Errors on GPS timing tests when the start delay on the
F6150 onfiguration web page is not set to zero.

Installation Package
The installation package contains three firmware packages:

F6150.pkg

F6300.pkg

F6350.pkg.

Choose whichever package applies to your instrument type and use it for flashing the firmware
package.
