TriPAD
Tri three-day seminar
PAD Plan. Assess. Direct.
TriPAD, a seminar conducted to inform us in special topics about planning the
instruction, assessment of outcomes, and directing the learning imbued with skills needed
to conquer the divergent environment we teachers, encounter in every day teaching. It also
includes the Department of Education (DepEd) memoranda that we need to be aware so
that we know what to do as future professional teachers in DepEd. I admire the creativeness
of the title of the seminar TriPAD. Tri for three-day seminar, PAD (P for Plan. A for
Assess, D for Direct), it just defines that the organization that conducted the seminar is not
just obliged to give us this seminar but also they put their whole attention an d creativity to
create this kind of title. The title not just informs but it also motivates us, and stimulate our
curiosity about what we would learn and eventually live what we learned and also help
other by giving them what we learned by sharing this to our colleagues. I know that we
need this to be aware and knowledgeable of the steps and rules that we need to do when
certain circumstances happened to us.

First day- DepEd Memorandum: Memorandum something to be brought in mind.

This is the day where we are informed about the guidelines on how to apply for
employment in DepEd, we learned that there are many requirements in order to be a
professional teacher. Firstly, we should pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers
(LET). The will give then qualification to obtain a license where we can use applying
employment in DepEd and other information about applying for employment in DepEd
and all of this information were given to us by the speaker Sir Jasper Jay N. Mendoza.

Second Day Classroom Management and Instructional Materials: As future

teachers, we needed the information about how to manage the classroom properly, we need
to do correct procedures so that the learning environment will be conducive to maximize
the learning capabilities of the students inside then classroom. In line with the maximizing
the learning capabilities of then students we will need to prepare instructional materials
that will stimulate their curiosity, open mindedness and creativity and all of this were given
to us by Sir Jayson Y. Punzalan.

Third day Assessment of Student Learning: Learning is critical. As teachers, in

order for us to know what the students learned, we need to properly assess their learning
so that we can improve our techniques in teaching and we will know then students that
needs special attention because learning is for everybody and all of the information and
procedures were given to us by Sir Socrates A. Embesan.

TACTIQS
(The art of critical thinking, instructions and questioning skills)
TACTIQS: This seminar is conducted to inform us of the art of critical thinking,
instructions and questioning skills that we need to better our self and our skills in teaching
and facilitating learning. Our speakers from Philippine Normal University are well-known
speakers not just in Philippines but also in international conferences. The purpose of this
seminar is to train us in teaching the 21st century skills that we need to teach to our students.

First day. The Art of Differentiated Instruction

We learned that there are many strategies in order to reach the students in terms of
their capabilities to learn because not all students are fast learners and the world is
diversified so that we also need to diversify the technique that we use in facilitating learning
in each student because we are studying the process of ensuring that what a student learns,
how he or she learns it, and how the student demonstrates what he or she has learned is a
match for that student's readiness level, interests, and preferred mode of learning. We
tackled about content, process, product and learning environment because each has their
own way of learning because they need to be comfortable in their own learning. This topic
is crucial because we cater students to be their best version of themselves and the first way
to do this is to reach each students by giving students what they need in order for the student
to learn. All of the information we need is given to us by Prof. Patrocinio V. Villafuerte.

Second day. The art of Questioning

Questioning is one of the skills that we need to learn in order for us to get the
response or to motivate the student in answering our questions. Sometimes, our questioning
is complicated and not easy to understand thats why we need to improve our questioning,
to better this skill we undergone in a training that involves assessing the questions and
make a proper and more simple question out of the complicated questions and all of us
participated in changing the question so that all of us will learn the proper construction of
our questions in the classroom and in the examination paper that we prepare, this topic is
completely and competitively discussed to us by Prof. Jayson Orosco.

Third day. The art of Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is important because it involves the objective analysis and

evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment and professors often find it difficult to
encourage critical thinking amongst their students. That is why we tackled about how to
induce and stimulate critical thinking among students and all of the information we needed
to do this is given to us by our speaker Prof. Patrcinio V. Villafuerte.
