Abstract Third-party payment has witnessed a rapid development for recent decade Numerous domestic scholars have done much a-
cademic research on third-party payment theory and practice and achieved significant new results This paper reviews do-
mestic scholars main research achievements and academic points on third-party payment development from four different
perspectives of nature definition safety supervision market environment and modern economics and makes suggestions on
other research perspectives
