 ABSTRACT

The study focused on the evaluation of Notre Dame University in its plan

for acquiring the ISO 9001:2015 Certification. The study was conducted to

determine the preparedness of the University if it plans to acquire the ISO

9001:2015 certification.

The researchers referred to the revised ISO standard which sets out the

criteria for a quality management system. ISO 9001:2015 evaluates and

assesses the following areas as main requirements in obtaining such

certification, these are: Context of the Organization; Leadership; Planning;

Support; Operation; Performance Evaluation; and Improvement. The

questionnaire was made through the use of the standards provided by the ISO

9001:2015. The questionnaires were then distributed to the administrators and

selected faculty.

The study revealed that the administrators were not prepared and the

faculty members were slightly prepared. At the end of the course of the study, it

was concluded that a proper documentation is needed for the administrators

while for the faculty a minimal preparation is needed.
