I have reviewed a lot of playschools and always asked mother/parents to come forward to share their
experiences, whether good or bad, about the playschools/schools that their kid attends. This not only helps
in getting the authentic and most unbiased reviews directly from a parent but also gives an in-depth
analysis of how things appear on face value and how they are in real.

In my search for playschools, I also went to Happy Faces in DLF Phase 4 but somehow put off the idea of
admitting my child there for various reasons. a) It was really far-off for me and they did not provide any
transport facilities. b) I simply did not get the feeling that it was the place for my kid as I felt the owners
methodology not very modern. She insisted on teaching writing skills to the kids as small as 2 years old as
it is what they will actually need later on. c) I read a not so positive review of it here

Recently I was approached by an ex-parent who wanted to write a review about this Day Care Center and
share her experience. Thanks Shilpi for coming forward and taking out time to write the review and
making us parents aware. Here it goes..

My kid went to Happy Faces for almost 7 months. And I had terrible experience with the owner lady Asha
Aggarwal. She is a whimsical lady and does not pay any attention to parents concerns and complaints. My
motivation behind putting my kid in Happy Faces was the promised personalized attention and the
hygiene of the place. I found it quite neat and clean. My baby was just 15 months when I got her admitted
there. Hence health and hygiene were on the top of my priority list. The lady promised that she will provide
dedicated attention & care as she prefers to take kids of parents working with MNC and can afford her fees.
She even told me that the reason of keeping fees higher than the other day cares is to differentiate among
the class. Then she also boasted about getting Priyadarshini award from Indira Gandhi for her social
work for children. I was impressed to see her awards and certificates and ofcorz her experience though I did
not like the idea of comparing kids of prople with different/lower income groups.
Anyways, initially it was smooth and i found my daughter adjusting well. However, during my visits, I
found that she is not paying any attention to the kids around as she is always busy attending her grandson.
Her grandson is 5+ years old yet behaves like a 3 year old kiddo. He is always at the day care center after
his playschool. Also, please mind the fact that her own grandson goes to PUMPKIN HOUSE but not
hers. That says it all. He bullies other kids around and expects them to play with him at his will. And the
lady also supports him unconditionally. What a loving grandmother she is!!! The owner lady only focuses
on feeding him and taking care of him. Other kids are horribly ignored. In the duration of 7 months, I have
never seen her feeding or playing with any other child. Sometimes, she even asks the teacher to sit and feed
her grandson when all other kids are left to the mercy of the maids. The lady does not take any pains in
training the maids and the young teacher. Though the current teacher is pretty nice and sensible, however
she needs some grooming in handling diferent childern.

The fees is pretty high 6000 per month plus admission fees of 9000 (NEGOTIABLE!!!) plus 2000 of annual
stationary charges. This fees does not inlcude any meals or even water. Parents are expected to send the day
long supply of water to their kids. Reason the owner being an old lady does not want to bother herself. She
insists that parents should provide everything including water. You will NEVER EVER find her giving even
a cookie to your child. Her formula is simple extract as much as you can from parents working in MNCs
and avoid spending a single penny on kids or the day care center. All she does is make her maids do the
cleaning of her house and playschool. You can easily notice that she actually employs the maid in cleaning
of her house or some or the other area during the normal day care hours. May I ask her if these maids are
for children or for cleaning? And this is when Saturday and late evening on weekdays are already
dedeicated to the cleaning of the place.

The lady is so money minded that she does not even keep the ACs running for the kids. Usually when I go
to pick my child in the evening, I find her so much sweating that she was almost drenched in the sweat.
When I complained, she said that 2 ACs are running continously, and she cannot afford anything more
than that. She cannot do anything about it.
When I asked her to atleast check if she is sweating and dry/change her in such a case, she replied I cannot
go and touch every child to check the sweatMy maids and teachers are already too busy to do that!!!

I was shocked and taken aback to see her attitude towards children. At the time of admission, she would
leave no stone unturned to make you believe that they take care and provide good hygiene. But reality is
quite different. She is an extremely stubborn and high-headed lady who is unwilling to take any
suggestions / feedback from parents. She ill treated me and my child as well.

In Happy Faces, the ACs are in bad condition and they hardly cool the place. Secondly, the lady does not let
the teachers/maid to keep the AC on to cut her electricity bills. The teacher is instructed to keep the AC shut
and use it minimally. There is only one AC that runs in that big room which is not sufficient and insider staff
told me that even that is shut off several times during the day to cut electricity bills.

In winters, her room heater is usually out of order. So childern do not get that privilege as well.

There is a web cam which does not work. If you ask the lady, she will say we dont need to put on the web
cam as we are doing the best!!! Any new parents visiting the place, please do ask her to show you the web
cam recording and you will know the truth. Ofcourse they will never put on the web cams else they will be
exposed.

In case you decide to put your kid in Happy Faces, be ready to compromise on her hygiene. I have got my
baby out now and she is going to a place where parents opinion counts. I understand that no place is
perfect but atleast people should be open minded enough to accept and adapt to the feedbacks.

This exp is really very horrible.

I have hurd about crystal baby day care. That is a very good place. Two of my friends babies are in the
Crystal baby. And both are doing well.

I accidently found this review while searching for a child care online and I was absolutely astonished to see
To what magnitude the MARKETING STRATEGY can dare to inject and inflict into the brain and body
vessels of this rapidly modernizing emotionally week society without any proven evidences but with just a
peace of article or post. Why does it these quick to tread over others heppens only in our country with a
wide obvious visibily that can be caught easily. Lol

Here is what I have noticed and what I want to share:

I do not see any correlation in the usage of English language produced by Shilpi Je at the referenced blog
in this post and this post itself. This post seems to have been jeweled with an intention to completely
destroy from roots the reputation of some running Happy Face Child Care. It appears that the writer is a
professional paid content writer as I was hardly able to notice any erroneous spelling mistake except some
intentional well understood transformations like dedeicated and diferent in this timely devoted paid
post to jeopardize and sabotage Happy Face Child Care. Actually I do not want to use the word. Instead I
would prefer to say Unknown Person(UP).

No MOTHER on this mother could leave her own child WITHOUT the best possible available
materialistic comfort. In fact it is a positive point that Sonali Je raises her child along with every other child. I
disagree that Happy Face Child Care would de-regulate the ACs Usage to save some pennies against
the already paid price for a value service and consecuently, keep her own child in perspire in sufferings.

I want to know from the UP that when he or she made his or her FIRST visit at Happy Face Child Care
why did not she completely check and verified everything facility offered? And to my surprise she came up
with so many, what appear to me are, selfprepared issues and that TOO After 7 MONTHS thats a
pretty long to investigate any foundation. This is very suspicious.

Sincerely no matter, I have not yet made my personal visit to Happy Face Child Care but I would love to
at least once. WHY?

A) Firstly, because I am highly impressed with what UP has specifically addressed about the methodology
of Happy Face Child Care functionality, to timely feed little beautiful naughty children (gift of GODs ),
the food prepared by their PARENTS specifically. I am a devotional follower of Bhrama Kumaris who
emphasizes a lot to us in their holy teaching to offer the first bit of SHIV BABA The Holy Father and
then partake the SELF-prepared hygienic food and offer the same to all your family members as much as

There are so many religions in India and I can bet every1 that it is practically impossible for any Child Care
in entire INDIA to prepare food that fits every religion and expectation except the homely prepared food.

To me it appears that some crystal baby day care is trying to put up its name over a well established
Happy Face Child Care because the person Sumit Gole without analyzing the post review , began his
comments by using such a poisonous word Terrible without even validating the credibility of Happy
Face Child Care by comparing personal visit to both the Crystal Baby day care and Happy Face child
care. We never raise our finger to anyone without taking pain to completely know and understand the
recipient. Correct ? Only a foolish person can make a wise decision just by relying on the real or fake
rumors. If the review addressed here is original then I request the UP to please show us some evidences like
your Fee payment Receipts, Pictures or Videos of the time and space your found offending and not meeting
your expectation. If the UP is so much intelligent, knowledgeable and an excellent writter as well on
FORUMS and INTERNET, then the UP must also be equipped and valiant enough to make small videos
and pictures snaps of the claimed occurrence.
I guarantee the UP will not be able to produce any of the above requested evidences because this is a
prepared script either by Happy Face Child Cares competitor or Happy Face Child Care itself to bring
its immediate presence on world wide web.
Secondly, If Sonali Je motivates and puts her undivided or undivided personal efforts on every child and
encourage them to write or at least give them color pencils to hold and play with themthen Every1 please
tell me that I do not know what I am about to say Is that Wrong? -Does the UP wants to put an
expensive delicate i-POD or i-PAD or a branded tablet in the hands of a 2-3 year old baby to break it or get
severely hurt?OR -Does the UP wants to view his/her child playing and engaging only with plenty of
stuffed toys which Happy Face child care provides as the UP claims? Ofcorze as a precautionary
measure, trained maids can monitor every childs incident to not consider the colors as eatables by mistake
and try to put them inside their mouth though size of pencils to too large to consume for a baby we all
know that joking..
I do not know if Sonali Je sends her child to some other school or educates him herself. It DOES NOT matter
to me and it SHOULD NOT matter to all of us either. One should never poke his/her noise into anyones
personal life without a cause especially a Teachers.
For every parent including the UP above, I strongly recommend to watch the movie thats what I am and
learn some very good lessons accidently at youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6R9EFc2mvo or
buy a CD for themselves.
Anyways whatever it is Sonali je and crystal Baby day care , please provide me your contact number I
want to visit Happy Face Child Care once for sure now. It has created a wave inside me to visit every child
and compare the services offered in question.

PLEASE DONT PUT YOUR CHILDREN IN SUNCITY WORLD SCHOOL, THE PRINCIPAL IS NICE
IN TALK BUT DONT TAKE ANY ACTION ON THE SPOT AND ALSO CHILDREN HAVE BEEN
ABUSED BY SPORTS FACULTY AND TEACHERS, EVERY TIME THEY FEEL IF THEY ARE
LOOSING PATIENCE THEY RAISE THEIR HANDS ON CHILDREN SPECIALLY THERE ARE SUCH
VILLAGERS FOR SPORTS IN THE SCHOOL WHO EVEN USE THEIR HANDS MORE THAN THEIR
MOUTH. AND THE WORST PART IS CHAIRMAN IS OUT OF REACH PARENTS CAN NOT
APPROACH CHAIRMAN.

I came upon the review of Happy Faces from Shilpi today and was frankly surprised by it. I am a working
mom and had a totally different experience with Happy Faces which I would like to share with other Moms.
My kid went to Happy Faces for about 2 years from 8 months old to 2.5 years old. Though initially I was
hesitant about putting such a small kid in a play school, upon recommendation from a friend of mine we
decided to try out the place. During the entire period my kid was in the school, I never had any issue
relating to ACs/heater. Though they do not provide food, care was taken to heat the food in time. RO water
is always available. It is true the lady running the school has a grand child but the child used to sit with
other kids and had food with them.Otherwise also I never had any issue relating to the kid. I found the
owner very hygiene conscious and particular with the maids about taking care of the kids. Though there are
some negatives, overall we had very satisfying experience with Happy Faces.

I would suggest that you try out the place yourself before taking a decision, even other parents whom we
interacted with briefly did not seem to have any issues.

I am quite surprised to read this review and I feel that it is important to share my experience with Happy
Faces.
I want to let you know how grateful I am to find such a nurturing environment for my son to grow in. We
went to several pre-schools looking for the right one and as soon as we met with Mrs. Agarwal and toured
the facility, we knew that this was the perfect environment for our son. We couldnt have been more right!
The last couple of years have been wonderful. With the help of Happy Faces Day Care, my son has become
a happy and well behaved child. We know that he has been given a great start to his education and was
loved and nurtured by all the staff. We truly appreciate everything that Happy Faces had done and if we
ever have another child, without a doubt we will be returning!!!

The most important thing in selecting a day care centre for your child is the comfort and reliability level.
After reviewing all the big and fancy day care centres, I tried looking out for the small set-ups in Gurgaon. I
found an interesting place Adhyan Day Care Center, Palam Vihar. It is run by a very promising middle-
aged woman and her husband. The facility aims at in-home treatment for the kids. Having a pleasant
home-like environ, I found the kids to be at ease. The grandmother, sitting in the lawn, telling stories to the
children was a cheerful sight. I was surprised at the attention given to the individual kids. The student
teacher ratio is extremely high, which is a relieving factor in choosing a day care. My first impression of this
place was that it is all about making the kids feel at home and not in some commercial place with
stereotypical school plans and programs. After visiting them about a couple of times, I realized that their
professional attitude and organizational skills are brilliant as well. They do follow certain curriculum and
offer tuitions. The teachers are extremely qualified, humble and innovative. The curriculum is beautifully
designed for every child keeping in mind individual mentoring. What I liked the best of the division of the
space into creative learning, imaginative learning and academic learning. The concepts and principles of
child care and development are crucially followed. There is a daily progress reporting system including
visuals in the form of videos and pictures, further adding to the transparency to the system. I could not ask
for more in terms of asking someone else to look after my daughter. After a week, I asked my daughter how
she liked the place. To my relief, she is in love with the place so much that she likes going there better than

attending her play school. She finds the owner (Mrs Niti Mittra) the most affectionate. Besides her reviews, I
found that her interactive skills and learning has improved dramatically. Most importantly, she is content
and thats what makes me feel comfortable as well. I would recommend this place to all parents who wants
to give their child proper quality home like treatment to their kids.

Dont trust a word of what this Sonali is saying.

Can you see that the ladys name is Sonali Mittra and she is favouring another Mittra who happens to be
Niti Mittra. In fact Sonali MIttra, it appears is the daughter of Niti Mitta.

There have been many unpleasant experiences with this Mittra family. Hence, dont put your child in
Adhyan Child Care Centre.

Going by the daughter favouring the mother, without any independent version of events, it is not safe to
trust what this lady is saying.

Your undisclosed identity perhaps is pointing to the intention of your comments. Where in my reply did I
say I am not related to Niti Mittra? In fact, I am her immediate cousin and hence the surname. When I met
her after ages, I got to know about her Day care and like any other parent or a friend who honestly finds the
place decent, I shared my views on it. Had it been for advertising, I guess even you would know better that
they would have posted something more substantial on Day care focused websites.
About your experiences with them, I have nothing to comment. This is a public forum and I would request
you to maintain certain decorum when discussing your personal issues.

amongst thebest in Gurgaonand they are laos launching day care in Marcham an existing parent and
very very happya lot of us are looking forward to their day care facilitythe passion and concern they

Yet another **** experience of Happy Faces school. Even before reading bad reviews about it, I just called to
know something about the school..about the fee structure if it meets my pocket and to my surprise the
owner said we cant discuss the fee on ph, You called earlier also. You need to come to school. Strange
lady. I never called her. She could have been polite and told me approx idea of fee rather than being worried
of parents calling her again. Is she insane.

I was really shocked and surprised by the review posted above on Happy Faces. My daughter has been
going to Happy faces for the last four years and I am extremely happy and satisfied with the day care. I
think this review has been written by some competitor who has never even been to Happy faces. Mrs.
Agarwal is the founder of the day care and is an extremely nice person. She loves the children a lot and all
the children also adore her. Infact, they dont want to go back home in the evening from the day care as
they enjoy there so much. I have never faced any problem related to AC or heater. Mrs. Agarwal is
extremely particular about hygiene and manages the day care in a very professional manner. I am very
happy with Happy faces and I think it really lives upto its name Happy Faces. I would recommend it to
all parents who want personal care, love and attention for their little ones.
