Business advertisements using various types

of technology and its impact to consumers.

CHAPTER 1

The Problem and its Background

Introduction

Technology affects different aspects of our lives. It brings a lot of changes

in the old way of living. From the old traditional practices or way of life which

turns into modern and digital through the use of various technology providers. We

cant erase anymore the presence of technology because it has been a part of

everyones life.

Besides these changes in our personal ways of life, technology has also

changed the face and pace of how we do or run business. A lot of aspects in

business industries are being change and influence through technology. The usual

way of making and producing the products and services of certain business has

been continually improved through technology. Even the way of selling and

advertising has change. As various social media sites blooms the way of
advertisements also blooms. Way back 1990s up to before the presence of social

media, the usual way of advertising products and services is done through

personal face to face talk of the sales representatives to consumers or costumers

but nowadays it has been improved.

The role of technology in the field of business industry is very helpful to

entrepreneurs because they can easily introduce their products and services locally

or nationally especially nowadays, people are being dependent to the help of

technologies and it makes them more easier to communicate or deliver

information to people.

Statement of the Problem

We can say that technology is changing so rapidly because its

development is based on what the society need and want. So the technological

changes in business world also follow. A business man always seeks for an

opportunity to gain more profit and to make it possible, he will look for

something that really attracts the consumers. He will create a product or service

that is new, unique, and useful and also something that will meet the need and

wants to his customers.

After creating, inventing and producing a product a business man also

thinks a way on how he will advertise his products or services. And nowadays, the

most common way of business advertising is through the use of various types and

platforms of technology.
This study will try to find out what are the different effects or impacts of

various types of technology used in business advertisements to the consumers.

How will they differentiate the usual and modern way of advertisement? How are

they being influenced with modernized advertisements? Thus it affects their

preferences in choosing a certain commodity to buy and how? How will they rate

the quality of products being produced or created through traditional and

technological machineries? How useful or beneficial thus this modern

advertisement for them?

Significance of the Study

The study will define how technology touch the lives of people especially

entrepreneurs or how technology change our culture in the business industry

which we call the technological determinism and how it affects our beliefs as

consumers in picking products and services that are being advertise through the

use of technological advancement.

This study aims to gain more information about the different individual

perceptions of consumers in connection to the various types and platforms of

technology that are being used in advertisements and other business related

activities. This will also serve as basis for business man on how they are going to

improve their business marketing strategies.

Assumptions of the Study

The study is expected to result to an accurate findings on how technology

affects a certain business and its impact to consumers belief to a certain product
or services. To attain a dependable research where people can rely on especially in

giving them the ideas or knowledge on how to maximize the use of technology to

their business and make it as a tool to earn a productive and progressive business.

This is very time consuming study because we are task to interview more

respondents to have a better results. As the respondents will cooperate, provide

reliable responses, has wide background knowledge or awareness about the topic

it will result on what is being expected. A result that will answer all the queries

and will give a definite, concise and clear ideas about the topic.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

The study will focus on the effect of technological advancement to the

business industry which how technology helps their business run through the use

of various types or mediums of technology. It will study also how consumers are

being affected by how business entity advertise their products or services to the

public.

The study basically will just research on various business entity for the

fact findings, interview several consumers for more specific answers and will

more focus to how a certain business entity enables their business to build up a

name or to be known in the industry by the help of technology and their strategies

to catch the attention of the consumers and so to acknowledge their business.

Definition of Terms
ADVERTISEMENTS-a notice or announcement in a public medium

promoting a product or service.

BUSINESS-it is an organizational entity involved in the provision of goods

and services to consumers.

TECHNOLOGY-is the collection of technique, skills, methods and processes

used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of

objectives such as scientific investigations.

TRADITIONAL-belief or behaviour passed down within a group or society

with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past.

FACEBOOK-an online social media and social networking service used for

socialization, communication and even for business purposes.

SOCIAL MEDIA-website and applications that enable users to create and

share content or to participate in social networking.

CONSUMER PREFERENCES-refers to the taste of a particular group of

people.
