The Old Lady In a Rolling Pumpkin

Assalamualaikum and a very good morning to the judges, teachers and friends. Today I want to
share with you a story about The Old Lady In A Rolling Pumpkin.

Once upon a time, there was an old lady. She lived in a house at the bottom of a steep hill.
On the top of the hill lived her daughter. She was very good at cooking and she liked to share her
food with her mother.

One day, after waking up in the morning, the old lady found that the cupboard was empty.
Ahh,,, theres nothing to eat . Ahhh..... Ill take a bath, get dress, and go up the hill to my
daughters house. She must have cook delicious food and drink. Then she walked to the bathroom,
took a bath, brushed her teeth, and got dressed. Then she opened the door, locked it, and went up the
hill. She did not forget her walking stick. She sang Rick a tick a tick, rick a tick a tick, here I come
on my walking stick. Rick a tick a tick, rick a tick a tick, here I come on my walking stick.

She walked and she walked and she walked untill she came to a creature. This creature had
sharp grey ears, sharp grey snout, black wet mouth and a long bushy tail and it said
Auuuuuuuu....., and it was a wolf. The wolf said Hello old lady, Im very hungry. And you look
good enough to eat. Im going to eat you for my lunch. The lady said Khahahahahahaha....you
silly little wolfy. Look at me, I'm all skin and bone, but Im going up the hill to see my daughter
and shes going to give me delicious things to eat and delicious things to drink, and when I come
back, Ill be nice, fat, and juicy. Then, you can eat me. And the wolf said Auuuu..... very well old
lady. Ill wait for you right here. And on she walked. She sang again Rick a tick a tick, rick a tick
a tick, here I come on my walking stick .

She walked and she walked and she walked untill she came to a creature. The creature was
big and brown and it stood upon his hind legs. It was the bear, and the bear said Hoooooo......
Hello old lady, Im, very hungry, you look good enough to eat. Im going to eat you for my lunch,
and the lady said Khahahahahahaha.....you silly beary bear, Look at me! Im all skin and bone, but
Im going up the hill to see my daughter, and shes going to give me delicious things to eat and
delicious things to drink and when I come back, Ill be nice, fat, and juicy. Then, you can eat me.
Then the bear said Hooooo....very well old lady. I'll wait for you right here, and on she walked.
She sang a rick a tick a tick, rick a tick a tick, here I come on my walking stick . A rick a tick a
tick, rick a tick a tick, here I come on my walking stick .

She walked and she walked and she walked untill she came to a creature. This creature was
yellow, had whiskers, sharp teeth, and it said Rrrawww. It was a tiger. The tiger said Hello, old
lady, Im very hungry. You look good enough to eat and Im going to eat you for my lunch, and
the lady said Khahahahaha.......dont be silly Mr. Tigy Tigy. Look at me, Im all skin and bone,but
Im going up the hill to see my daughter, and shes going to give me delicious things to eat and
delicious things to drink, and when I come back, Ill be nice, fat, and juicy. Then you can eat me.
The tiger said Rrrawww... very well old lady.I'll wait for you right here.

Then, she continued walking, but this time slowly because she was vey tired. She sang
Rick a tick a tick, rick a tick a tick, here I come on my walking stick. Then she got to the top of
the hill and met her daughter. Her daughter said Oh, mother, its good to see you. I have delicious
things to eat and delicious things to drink. I have made chocolate cakes, I have made lemonade, I
have made kebab, and I have made pumpkin soup your favorite food . The lady said Thank you
so much my daughter. Then she sat down on the chair, enjoying all the foods and drinks. She ate,
she ate, she ate, she drank, she drank, all the foods and drinks. She got a bowl, pour the pumpkin
soup in it and she went eating. Ueeehhhh...Ueeehhhh...Ueeehhhh..., Oh its the best pumpkin soup
that Ive got for a long time. Thank you my daughter. And now, that Ive been full, Ill go back
down home.

The old lady then grabbed her walking stick and when she was she about to leave home,
suddenly, Hahhh!!! Oh my God!!! There are three creatures waiting for me on the road. And I
promised they could eat me. But, I dont want to. What should I do? What should I do? Her
daughter tought, Mmmmm...Mmmmm...Mmmmm.... She saw a very big pumpkin shell and she
decided to let her mother get into it. You get into the pumpkin shell Mum. Then Ill push you down
the hill and everythings going to be okay. Well that sounds okay, the lady said.

Then, she went into it and after closing it again, her daughter pushed it down. While rolling
inside the shell, the lady sang Here I come, here I come in my pumpkin, here I come. Here I come,
here I come in my pumpkin, here I come.... and blast !!! It came to the last creature. It was the tiger.
The tiger said..Rrrawwww.....Its a pumpkin but I smell like an old lady. No, no, no, no, no... Im
not old lady, Im just a pumpkin. Im rolling home. Ohh..sorry to stop you rolling, and he tapped
the pumpkin go.

The pumpkin then rolled down again. Inside the lady sang again Here I come, here I come, in my
pumpkin, here I come. Here I come, here I come, in my pumpkin,here I come, and blast!! It
crashed to the big creature. It was the bear, and the bear said Whooo...Whats this? Its a pumpkin,
but I smell like an old lady No, no, no, no, no... Im not old lady, Im just a pumpkin. Im rolling
home. Ohh..sorry to stop you rolling, and he tapped the pumpkin go.

The pumpkin rolled down again, the lady sang again Here I come, here I come ,in my pumpkin
here I come. Here I come, here I come, in my pumpkin, here I come, and blast!!!! It crashed to the
first creature. It was the wolf? And the wolf said??? Auuuu....., whats this? Its a pumpkin, but it
smell like an old lady but the lady said kha ha ha ha ha ha , I'm not an old lady. I'm just a
pumpkin. But the wolf was very cunning. It said You smell like an old lady, yes an old lady, an old
lady. Then he began to scratch, scratch, and scratch the pumpkin and finally by using his snout, he
openned the lead and could see the lady inside. But you know? The lady had a walking stick, by
using it, she popped the snout of the wolf and it ran away crying Au.. au.. au ..au.. au.. au.. au...

The old lady then pulled herself out of the shell. She walked just a few yard towards her house. She
went to the door, opened it and made herself a cup of tea.

From the story we learn that the old lady never gave up her life. We too should never give up if we
are facing any problem. That's all. Thank you.
