Thursday

Prepared 2700 water + 300 glycerol solution is prepared for post treatment of membrane .
the spinned membrane is soaked into the solution for 5 hours .

Tested the potted membranes for clear water flux , rejection rate.

Sunday

10 ppm solution of arsenic was prepared

25 ml solution of arsenic of different Ph was taken in different bottles
(Ph- 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,11)
Hydrated manganese oxide [HMO] and Ferrous manganese binary oxide[FMBO]
were blended to form fine particles separately .
Wt- 0.025 g of HMO and FMBO were taken and transferred into their respective 25
ml arsenic sol bottles
Monday
Synthesis of HMO
Preparation of
(160g KMnO4 + 2 L water)
(40 g NaOH + 1 L water)
(240 g Mg2SO4+ 2 L)
the solution was stirred for 2 hours ,NaOH solution was mixed in KMnO4 solution to make
Ph 12.5. Solution is kept for settling for 2 hours.
The upper layer of KMnO4 layer is removed , it is washed # times and kept for settling (24hr)

Tuesday , Wednesday

HMO solution is filtered using vacuum filtration setup to remove KMnO4 . This is repeated
to get Ph 7
