Thesis Statement: When we compare those civilizations together, there are both

 Even though apple and pineapple are different, they are both fruits. In the same way,

the fact that each civilization has its own uniqueness is true but between those civilizations are

differences also. With their uniqueness, all civilizations are different but in the same time they

have a small similarity. When we compare those civilizations together, there are both

differences and similarities in the term of religion, building, government and languages.

Religion, in both ancient Chinese and Egyptian civilization, is related directly to

peoples living. Starting with religion in Ancient Chinese civilization, people believed in the

philosophies of philosophers instead of Buddhism because they were made before the time that

Buddhas teaching came into China. In each philosophy, the main topic are different. For

Taoism (Daoism), it is to live slowly with nature and for Confucius, it is to treat others the same

way you wanted to be treated. Basically, the people in ancient Chinese civilization believed in

the philosophies that teaches the way of living that will be the best for human. In Egyptian

civilization, people worshipped many gods and goddesses and believed in afterlife. Each

god/goddesses plays a big role in peoples living; made ceremonies, rules of living and reasons

of things on Earth. In conclusion, Chinese civilization believes in philosophies but Egyptian

civilization believes in many gods/goddesses and in the same time, it is always used in daily

life.

Both pyramid and the great wall of China are both one of the seven wonders of the

world but there are still some differences to them. Pyramids were built from bricks/stones in

form of triangular-pyramid to represent the ray of the sun. The purpose of the pyramid is for

religion-related ceremony which is to bury the body of pharaoh. On the other hand, the great

wall of China is also built by bricks, stone and also wood. To protect invaders from the north

side; the mongols, Qin Shi Huang ordered to build the wall and prevent them from conquering

China. This concludes that the pyramids were built for religion-related purpose but the great

wall was built for self-defending purpose.

The written language of Egyptian civilization and ancient Chinese civilization is very

similar to one another. Although the final result of the letters in both language is obviously

different, it came from the same sources; picture. Chinese hanzi has its evolution of letter

shape from the real thing into a drawing and closer until results in hanzi. Same way as

Egyptian Hieroglyphic. Hieroglyphic uses the picture of objects or organisms as a letter.

However, the hanzi will still keep the meaning of the original drawing but Hieroglyphic uses

just only the picture. In conclusion, Hanzi and Hieroglyphic has their origin from real objects.

In the topic of government, there are main difference. In Chinese civilization, nobles are

assigned to rule a specific part of the land while the king stays at the capital. With the mandate

of heaven, dynasty will be determined whether would it ends or continues. In the Egyptian

civilization, the pharaoh is the only one who has the order and the pharaoh is also considered

as a god. Since there is no rule of ruling the country, there is no dynasty but era. Lastly, as a

conclusion, Egyptian civilization government is ruled by the pharaoh only while in Chinese

civilization the noble from the royal family are assigned to rule a part of the country.

To summarize all of this, after we compare and contrast the following civilization, there

are both differences and similarity in the same time. As I explained all the information that I

came up with, an obvious differences are found everywhere. This indicates that each

civilization has its own uniqueness but also hidden with similarity.
