On 7 September, 2016 ( Wednesday ), Union Minster for Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan announced
that Narendra Modi Government is looking to promote CNG as cooking gas and would build a separate distribution
network. He further claimed that GAIL has already completed the tendering process for National Gas Grid and would
begin laying pipelines soon.This is another example of CRONY CAPITALISM under Modi Government

Pipeline ( JHBDPL ) project..?
Narendra Modi Government scrapped a Floating Gas Terminal supposed to be built by GAIL in Paradip Port , Orissa ,
which is close to a place, where Indian Oil Corporation ( IOC ) is also building a refinery. It was shelved by GAIL for no
particular reason. The project was shelved by GAIL on October 18, 2014 ( after Modi Sarkar came to power).
The proposed facility to be built by GAIL would have had a capacity of 4 Million Tonnes per annum and would have be
scaled to 8 million Tonnes per annum. For this purpose GAIL had already signed a MoU with Paradip Port Trust in
October 2013. Then GAIL & IOC picked up shares in Dhamra LNG Terminal to be built by Adani Group in Dhamra Port
in Bhadrak District of the state. Finally , Adani Group buys Orissa Port in Rs 5,500 Crore Deal in a news report that
appeared on 17 May , 2016 Saturday.This is nothing but CRONY CAPITALISM.
Cairn India has acquired assets worth Rs 26,681.87 Crores in India , with payment of just Rs 2,178.36. This is part of
how Narendra Modi Government allows free flow of BLACK MONEY into India in the form of FDI. He has turned
India into Worlds Biggest Departmental Store, where everything is for SALE. Edinburg Based Cairn India had made a
capital gains of more than Rs 24,503.50 Crore and transferred its Indian assets to its parent company Cairn Energy in
the form of Shares. Cairn India Ltd a Non Resident Indian Company has so far refused to pay taxes in India stating that
Tax Department has no jurisdiction , while still making payment to their parent UK firm , from profits they make form
their India Operations.
GAIL is building Pipelines across Eastern India ( Bihar , Eastern UP , Orissa and Assam ) to distribute gas supplied by
Cairn India , Adani Group , RIL and Essar Group. Jindals and Essar Group ( owned by Ruias ) along with a Chinese
company bagged Lions share of a contract from GAIL- a government owned company. The entire project would cost Rs
12000 Crore and will be borne by GAIL.Narendra Modi Government is perfect example of CRONY CAPITALISM.
