Cadi Software Manual

Step 1

Initial Setup: Login Name: Cadi


Password: 111111

Cadi is the default login and


cannot be changed.

NB:
It is recommended that once you have accessed
the software, that you change the password.

Step 2

Select either Edit Customer [2a] (if you want


to add a new customer) or Select Customer
[2b]
(to open an existing customers record).

Step 2 (a) New Customer

Fill in the customer details


Click the Photo button (if you want to have
a thumbnail of your customer saved with
their records)
(If client photo is required AND Photo is clicked)

The Cadi Capture window opens:

Compose the image and press the Capture


button.

If you are happy with the image, press the


Transfer button to return to the Cadi
Customer Maintenance (previous) screen.

When all details and images (if required) have


been entered, press the Add button to add
this new customer to your database.

Then click the OK button

You will now be returned to the main window

Step 2 (b) Existing customer

Click on Select Customer


Select from the list of previously entered
customers (This is where having a picture of
your customers is very helpful)

Then click Select

Capturing images of your Customers Irises


You will need to select your camera the first
time you use the software.
Click the Setup Source button

You will now see a dialog box.


Select the following drivers for the model
camera you are using:

Camera Driver
HSK600u Vimcro USB PC Camera 301PLH
HSK 9800 VIMICRO USB PC Camera ZCO301PLH
HSK 9881 USB Video Adapter Video Capture 1.0
HSK9888 USB 2800 Video 1.603
To start capturing images of your clients Irises,
Click the Capture Right Eye button

Compose the image of the RIGHT eye in the


view field

Click the Capture Left Eye button

Click the Transfer button once you have


successfully captured the right Iris

The main screen now looks like this


An image of your clients iris arrears in the
thumbnail field

Repeat above steps to capture


the Left Eye (click the Capture
Left Eye buton etc ).
Once you have the two iris images captured,
clicking on either thumbnail image will
display a lerger image

then click the thumbnail whose name starts


with the letter R

Use the same process to display the Left eye


image (except use Left Eye button and a
filename that starts with the letter L)

Your main scren should look something like this

You can now start the analysis stage

Click the Eye Analysis button


Eye Analysis

This is the Cadi Analysis screen

Step1. Click the Set button

Step 2.

Place the cursor in the center of the pupil and


left mouse click once then move the cursor
away until the marquee circle is the same size
as the pupil

Step 3.

Drag the cursor again and an overlay image


appears. Keep dragging the cursor until this
overlay image is the size of the irsis, then left
mouse click again.

Click the Set button again to complete this


step.
Now that the bounds of the image have been
set, you can start the analysis process.

a) Click the Analysis button


b) Select the feature you have identified by
clicking the appropriate button.
c) Select the colour of that feature (Ie:
Light, Brown, Gray or Dark)
d) Click the identified feature on the image
at the position where you deteced the
feature (example only shown).

A dialog box appears which displays the


associated region of the Iris on which you
clicked (IE: Small intestine based on the
Bernard Jenson map)

Click Add to Report

You can add comments of your own as well.


Type your comments into the comments field

Click the Analysis button again to deactivate it

Click the Left button to load the left Iris image,


And repeat the steps above to analyse the left
iris.

When both Irises have been analysed, click the


Analysis button to deactivate it, then click the
Save button (becomes active)

Now click the Close button

All data in the analysis field and any comments


you have added will be saved to the clients
database record.
You will be returned to the main menu

Customer Reports
You are presented with this screen for viewing /
printing customer reports

Select the report you require (These are


identified by the date that the report was
created)

Once the report is selected, you will see all the


details of the report in this window

You can now do the following;


Set-up your printer
Preview how your report will print
Print the report
