1 Introduction
TM1 B/C TSI film is introduced to TM1 C TSI
eliminate printstripes. The higher
friction properties of the TM1 B/C TSI Thermal
Monosheet
film combined with contamination of Internal Version
input rollers by the current TM1 B/C Blue base
film material, could make it necessary Clear base
to change the input rollers by new Thermal
Silica
ones. 536110tb.cdr

Figure 1

Following modifications are in order to adapt the Drystar 3000 in case TM1
B/C TSI film is used and gives film pickup problems.
Replace the two rubber rollers in the film feeding unit.
Replace the plastic drive gear of the film pickup motor (M4) by a metal
gear.
Replace the five small film guiding rollers at the thermal head by wider

compliance with FSB 24.
These wider rollers are already series for following serial numbers:
3845
3847 - 3949
3851 - 3858
3860 - 3863
3865 - 3869
3871 - 3874
3878

3 Modification of the film feeding unit

Modification 1) With a small (2 mm) flat head
screwdriver bend 3 of the locks
of the starlocks open.
2) Remove the star lock. Refer to
note below.
3) Pull off the plastic gear.
4) Push the metal gear on M4 and
push the star lock on the shaft.
Use e.g. a 10 mm nut to push
the starlock onto the shaft.
5) With a small flathead
screwdriver remove the two C-
clips at the right and left rubber
rollers.
6) Replace the rubber rollers.

Figure 4

When removing the starlock take care not to scratch the motor shaft. The
diameter of the gear is only a little bit larger than the diameter of the gear.
Scratches prevent that the gear can be removed!
In case the shaft gets scratched during removal of the starlock, use fine sand
