Unit 3: Sports and Free time Activities.

Content: Simple Past Tense

I. Read the following comment on a blog about childhood memories. Underline the
verbs in Past Tense and classify them in the columns below:

My best childhood memory is about my best friend from

school, Tom. When we met, he was six and I was six too. We
were in the same class in school. We sat together and
always played together in the break. His family lived near
my family, so we saw each other after school most days. In
the summer, we went swimming in the ocean when the
weather was hot. In the winter, we played video games a
lot and stayed home watching TV. When his family moved
to another city, I was very sad. Ill never forget the times
we spent together. I called him a few weeks ago and we
agreed to meet again for the next weekend and remember
the times we played our favorite games and did amazing
things together.
