Software Information

BIOS/NVRAM for the HP BL20p G2/G3 Fibre Channel Adapter (361426-B21) supported
on the BL20pG3/G4 and BL25/45p G2 p-class servers

Installation Information

1) Copy BIOS IMG file to your laptop or desktop. File is located here: \\Mtgbaztm001\Software\HP
BL20p G3 Qlogic BIOS
2) Shutdown blade
3) Logon to ILO and open Remote console and Virtual Media windows
4) In Virtual Media, browse to the floppy image using Browse button (top section of Virtual Media)
located on your local machine
5) Click Connect to attach IMG file

 6) Power ON blade (You can use the Virtual Power to do a momentary press and hold) This should
kick start the blade.
7) If boot order is set properly, it will boot to Floppy after CD-ROM and will come to command
prompt pretty quickly
8) At command prompt A: below; type HPQUTIL /I /F and press Enter
9) It will start the update process and will take a few minutes and will end at the command prompt

10) Do a CTRL-ALT-DELETE from the remote console window and disconnect the IMG file from the
Virtual Media.
11) During Startup, you will see Qlogic Post the new version 1.45.
