III.

Research and Evidences

The type of research method adopted in this study was a survey design. A random
sample of 180 students received the questionnaire. Of these, 146 were returned, 34 of
which were invalid for analysis because of respondent error, as they were unwilling to
participate in the research project. Of the 112 valid responses, 44 were female and 68
were male, and 65 were accounting majors and 47 were non-accounting majors.

Conclusion

It is always so hard to give the exact number who have majored in accounting,
demography is very wide and large. Succeeding in any field of study requires the use of
solid strategy and accounting is no exception. Struggles in taking up an accounting
profession cannot be eliminated because it is always in nature. No one can suggest
ways to eliminate those struggles but ways to help us face those struggles. Those
struggles doesnt only incudes failed understanding on the subject but also those
economic problems that most students not only accounting students are facing. As a
student, learn to manage your time and money and spend it to useful things. If you want
to take up an accounting course, you need to really love the subject. It requires affection
and time just like most relationship does. You will face many failures, depressions and
frustrations when you take up this course and you cant avoid yourself from that
because you need to experience all of these to understand the profession you are
taking. Accounting course requires hard work and many sacrifices from your social life
as a college student. You will spend money to buy references and books just like you
are spending for your future. You will also spend a lot of time to study and to understand
your lessons more. This research, coping up the struggles of an accountancy student is
showing us that this course is not easy. You cannot avoid yourself from any struggles
thus, you need to face and experience all of it to become a successful CPA or
professional someday because reality outside our school is more of that.

Recommendation

After a thorough analysis of data and research, the following recommendations are
hereby made:

The researchers recommend this research papers for those students who are
planning to take an accounting course and not yet completely understand this
course.
To those future researchers who will conduct their own study about this matter
and hoping that this research can help them.
To professors, instructors or professionals who will need a research paper about
coping the struggles of an accountancy student that was conducted also by
accountancy students.
To our fellow schoolmates and classmates who want to know what are the
different struggles that an accounting student are facing.

Definition of terms

Accountancy- is the measurement, processing, and communication of financial


information about economic entities such as businesses and corporations.
Accounting- accounting, which has been called the "language of business
measures the results of an organization's economic activities and conveys this
information to a variety of users, including investors, creditors, management, and
regulators.
Affection- attraction, infatuation, or fondness is a "disposition or state of mind or
body".
Analyzed- to study closely and carefully.
Benefit- something that promotes or enhances well-being.
Communication- the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by
speech, signals, writing, or behavior.
Complexity- the quality or condition of being complex.
Concentration- the act or process of concentrating, especially the fixing of close,
undivided attention.
Conclude- to bring to an end; close.
Conducted- to direct the course of; manage or control.
Coping- to contend or strive, especially on even terms or with success.
Curriculum- all the courses of study offered by an educational institution.
Data- facts that can be analyzed or used in an effort to gain knowledge or make
decisions.
Demand- to ask for urgently or peremptorily.
Demography- the study of the characteristics of human populations, such as
size, growth, density, distribution, and vital statistics.
Difficulty- the condition or quality of being difficult.
Disqualification- the act of disqualifying or the condition of having been
disqualified.
Effective- having an intended or expected effect.
Emotional- readily affected with or stirred by emotion.

Ethics- a set of principles of right conduct.
Excessive- exceeding a normal, usual, reasonable or proper limit.
Experience- the apprehension of an object, thought, or emotion through the
senses or mind.
Financial- of or relating to persons who manage money, capital, or credit.
Hypothesis- a tentative explanation for an observation, phenomenon, or scientific
problem that can be tested by further investigation.
Indicated- to state or express briefly.
Lack- deficiency or absence.
Lectures- an exposition of a given subject delivered before an audience or class,
as for the purpose of instruction.
Limitations- factors over which a researcher has no control, and which may affect
results of a study.
Literature- colloquial usage indicating any printed matter on a given topic.
Management- the process of controlling how something is done or used.
Motivation- in psychology, the aggregate of all the individual motives, needs, and
drives operative in a person at any given moment that influence the will and
cause a given behavior.
Networking- the practice of expanding ones base of contacts in the workplace or
in personal affairs, typically with the aim of furthering ones social and/or
occupational success.
Overcome- to defeat (another) in competition or conflict.
Overloaded- an excessive load.
Pressure- an influence acting as a source of distress or hardship.
Profession- an occupation or career.
Professors- one who belongs to the faculty.
Recommend- to advise or counsel.
Reference- meaning or denotation.
Research- to study (something) thoroughly so as to present in a detailed,

a complex whole.

functions, or tasks.
Technology- the application of science, especially to industrial or commercial
objectives.
