1 - INTRODUO
Voc est adquirindo uma Unidade Hidrulica produzida pela Bosch Rexroth Ltda.
Apresentamos este manual de instrues descrevendo sucintamente as caractersticas,
a maneira correta para a utilizao, os cuidados no manuseio e manuteno de sua Unidade
Hidrulica.
Antes de por em uso a Unidade Hidrulica, leia por completo e atentamente este
manual, pois as informaes aqui contidas so importantes para garantir sua segurana e a
vida til do equipamento.
Aps a leitura, guarde este manual como material de referncia, em lugar de fcil
acesso.
Nota 1: O contedo deste manual est sujeito a alteraes sem prvia notificao, em funo
de aperfeioamentos no produto.
Nota 2: Siga as instrues deste manual e aquelas descritas nas plaquetas de orientao
fixadas na unidade.

2 - Descrio Geral
A Unidade Hidrulica utilizada como fonte de fora para o Centro de Torneamento

Galaxy(G,GL,E) na abertura e fechamento das castanhas de fixao das peas, no sistema de
troca de ferramentas e nas operaes verticais do fuso na centragem da mquina (contra-
ponto).

4 - Simbologia de Segurana
As seguintes simbologias de segurana so utilizadas na Unidade Hidrulica para

prevenir acidentes que possam ser causados por mau uso.
Este manual adota as convenes de simbologia abaixo, para caracterizar o grau de
perigo e os danos que possam ocorrer.
! DANGER/PERIGO
Esta indicao salienta ao usurio que h perigo de morte ou ferimentos graves.
!
CAUTION/CUIDADO
Esta indicao salienta ao usurio que h possibilidade de ferimento ou dano fsico.
Esta indicao salienta ao usurio que no permitida a colocao das mos no local,
sob risco de acidente.
Esta indicao salienta ao usurio que no permitido a aproximao de chamas junto

ao equipamento, sob risco de incndio.
Esta indicao salienta ao usurio a necessidade de aterramento do motor eltrico, para

prevenir choque eltrico causado por fuga de corrente eltrica.

5 - Recomendaes de Segurana
Tome cuidado para no derramar fludo hidrulico quando do abastecimento e troca no

reservatrio, para evitar fogo, poluio ambiental ou acidentes.
Nota 3: Se houver derramamento limpe-o imediatamente.
No opere a Unidade Hidrulica quando o fludo hidrulico estiver vazando.
Nas manutenes, antes de remover tubulaes ou componentes, assegure-se que a

Unidade Hidrulica esteja desligada e o circuito despressurizado.
Devido ao peso da Unidade Hidrulica, evite utilizar as mos quando da remoo da

embalagem.
No aproxime chamas ao equipamento sob risco de incndio.
Jamais regule a unidade acima de sua capacidade especificada. (vide especificaes).
Escolha apenas conexes e tubulaes que se adaptem as especificaes da unidade.
No toque, no insira objetos na ventoinha do motor enquanto estiver girando.
No toque na Unidade Hidrulica, quando a mesma estiver em funcionamento.
No manuseie a unidade hidrulica sem a proteo da ventoinha do motor.
No toque nas aletas do trocador de calor, pois as mesmas podem causar ferimentos.
No toque no motor ou no trocador de calor sob risco de queimaduras.
Verifique a potncia do motor eltrico e certifique-se de conseguir uma corrente

apropriada, para evitar sobrecarga no circuito ou falha do funcionamento.
Aps efetuar as ligaes eltricas no motor, feche a caixa de bornes com sua devida
tampa.
Antes de abrir a caixa de bornes do motor certifique-se que a alimentao eltrica est
desligada. Observe o mesmo cuidado quando manusear o solenide e/ou o pressostato.
Efetue o correto aterramento do motor para evitar choques eltricos em caso de fuga
de corrente eltrica.
6 - Antes do Incio do Funcionamento

6.1 - Limpeza
A limpeza fator primordial em uma Unidade Hidrulica. Os componentes que a

constituem so fabricados com alta preciso e pequenas tolerncias. Assim durante a
montagem e durante o funcionamento, os elementos constituintes do equipamento, devem
estar protegidos de qualquer impureza.
6.2 - Abastecimento do Reservatrio
O reservatrio tem capacidade mxima de 41 litros e deve ser abastecido com fludo
hidrulico conforme especificao ISO VG 32 com classe de contaminao mxima permitida
NAS 1638 classe 9.
O preenchimento do reservatrio com fludo hidrulico deve obedecer aos limites da

marcao do indicador de nvel, (vide figura 1).
Nota 4: O excesso de fludo hidrulico afeta a operao e eficincia da Unidade

Hidrulica.
A operao em condies de quantidade de fludo hidrulico abaixo do nvel mnimo,

pode causar as seguintes irregularidades:
a) Ocorrncia de vibraes nas tubulaes provocando vazamento de fludo.
b) Entrada de fluxo de ar no leo com certa facilidade, resultando em cavitao da
bomba, rudo e mau funcionamento das vlvulas por instabilidade da presso.
c) Deteriorao do fludo hidrulico.
d) As funes da unidade hidrulica sero prejudicadas.
Cuidados Gerais: Ao abastecer o reservatrio deve-se analisar o fludo hidrulico, quanto a

eventuais impurezas, devendo se dar ateno especial aos fludos retirados de tambores
abertos.
Na Unidade hidrulica quase todos os problemas ocorrem nos estgios iniciais de

operao e so causados pela contaminao do fludo hidrulico. Portanto, o controle da

contaminao do fludo hidrulico durante o abastecimento do reservatrio faz-se muito
importante.
6.3 Transporte e Instalao
No transporte da Unidade Hidrulica, mantenha-a sempre fixa sobre o pallet com

parafusos.
Na instalao, procure manter o nivelamento do reservatrio. No instale em locais
com inclinao superior a 1%.
importante que se mantenha um espao mnimo de 100 mm entre o radiador e a
parede ou obstculo mais prximo.
Para instalao da unidade consulte as dimenses da mesma especificadas no desenho
anexo 01.
7 - Instalaes Eltricas
7.1 Motor Eltrico
O motor eltrico trabalha a uma tenso de 220/380 V em uma freqncia de 50/60 Hz.
As ligaes devem seguir a orientao da figura 2.

7.3 - Cuidados Gerais na Instalao Eltrica
a) Se as ligaes eltricas estiverem incorretas, a bomba poder girar no sentido

inverso de rotao, podendo causar danos ao equipamento.
b) Para dar a partida no motor eltrico, deve-se repetidamente ligar e desligar o motor
para retirada de ar de dentro da bomba e dos tubos de suco (desaerao).
c) Efetue o aterramento do motor para evitar choque eltrico em caso de fuga de
corrente eltrica.
d) Verifique a potncia do motor eltrico e certifique-se de conseguir uma corrente
apropriada, para evitar sobrecarga no circuito ou falha do funcionamento.
e) Aps efetuar as ligaes eltricas no motor, feche a caixa de bornes com sua devida
tampa.
f) Antes de abrir a caixa de bornes do motor certifique-se que a alimentao eltrica
est desligada.Observe o mesmo cuidado quando manusear o solenide e/ou o
pressostato.
8 Ajustes de Presso e Vazo

9 Manuteno Preventiva
9.1 - Limpeza
D especial ateno a limpeza do equipamento.
9.2 Renovao do leo
Cumpra a primeira troca de leo aps as 500 horas iniciais de funcionamento.

As renovaes subseqentes podem ser feitas a cada 3000 ou 5000 horas, conforme
exigncia das condies operacionais.
Mantenha o nvel de leo no reservatrio, observando periodicamente o indicador de
nvel. Complet-lo caso necessrio.

9.3 Filtro de Suco
Inspecione e limpe o filtro de suco uma vez a cada seis meses ou 4000 horas de
funcionamento. Aquele que acontecer mais cedo.
9.4 Filtro de Ar
O filtro de ar responsvel pela filtragem do ar que entra ou sai da unidade em funo

do funcionamento dos equipamentos e das variaes de temperatura. Faa inspees
peridicas no filtro de ar, realizando a limpeza do mesmo, quando necessria.
9.5 Trocador de Calor
Durante os primeiros 3 meses de funcionamento, verifique o trocador de calor quanto

a entupimentos.
Posteriormente, efetue limpeza do mesmo uma vez por ano.
10 - Cuidado Gerais
a) No utilize o equipamento com fludo hidrulico desgastado, ou seja, que j

perdeu suas caractersticas. A operao nestas condies poder causar danos a
Unidade Hidrulica. Portanto, importante o monitoramento das condies do
fludo.
b) Periodicamente, compare uma amostra do fludo hidrulico do reservatrio com
uma amostra de fludo novo, verificando os aspectos de colorao, transparncia,
cheiro e sedimentao. Caso possvel solicite ao fabricante do fludo, para que
realize uma anlise de amostras.
c) Nunca misture leos de marcas ou tipos diferentes.
d) Ao retirar o filtro de ar, tome cuidado para que a sujeira acumulada em volta do
mesmo no penetre no reservatrio.
e) Aps completar qualquer trabalho de manuteno, lembre-se efetuar a desaerao
do equipamento, conforme indicado no item 7.1- b.
f) Nunca opere a Unidade Hidrulica durante o abastecimento ou retirada de fludo.
g) Ao abastecer o reservatrio deve-se analisar o fludo hidrulico, quanto a eventuais
impurezas, devendo se dar ateno especial aos fludos retirados de tambores
abertos.
h) No utilize fludo que tenha sido derramado no cho.

1 - INTRODUCTION
You are purchasing a Hydraulic Power Unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth.

We present you this instructions manual describing briefly the features, the correct
utilization manner, the cares in handling and maintenance of your Hydraulic Power Unit.
Before putting the Hydraulic Power Unit into use, read this manual thoroughly, for the
information contained here in is important to ensure your safety and the equipments useful
life.
After reading, keep this manual as a reference material, in an easy access place.
Note 1: The contents of this manual are subject to modifications without prior notice,
due to improvements in the product.
Note 2: Follow the instructions in this manual and those described on the orientation

2 General Description
The Hydraulic Power Unit is used as a power source for the Galaxy (G, GL, E) Centre
Lathe, to opening and closing the power chuck, to the tool exchange system and to the
vertical operations of the spindle in the centering of the machine (tailstock).
3 Specifications
a) The unit has a serial number, which is portrayed on the identification plate in the
following manner:

4 Safety Symbology
The following safety symbols are used on the Hydraulic Power Unit to prevent from
accidents that may be caused by misuse.
This manual adopts the symbol conventions below to characterize the degree and the damage
that may occur.

DANGER
This indication points out to the user that there is danger of death or serious injury.
! CAUTION
This indication points out to the user that there is the likeliness of injury or physical damage.
This indication points out to the user that the placing of hands on the spot is not permitted,
under risk of accident.
This indication points out to the user that the approximation of flames to the equipment is not
allowed, under the risk of a fire.
This indication points out to the user the need of grounding the electric motor for preventing
from electric shock caused by electric current escape.
5 Safety Recommendations

Be careful not to spill hydraulic fluid when filling and changing the reservoir, to avoid
fire, environmental pollution or accidents.
Note 3: If there is a spill, clean it right away.
Do not operate the Hydraulic Power Unit when the hydraulic fluid is leaking.
In maintenance, before removing piping or components, be sure that the Hydraulic

Unit is turned off and the circuit has no pressure.
Due to the weight of the Hydraulic Power Unit, avoid using your hands when
removing the wrapping.
Do not bring flame close to the equipment, under risk of causing a fire.
Never regulate the unit above its specified capacity (refer to specifications).
Choose only fittings and pipes that are according to the specifications of the unit.
Do not touch or insert objects into the motors fan while it is turning.
Do not touch the Hydraulic Power Unit when it is operating.
Do not handle the hydraulic power unit without the motors fans protection.
Do not touch the fin of the heat exchanger, it may cause injuries.
Do not touch the motor or the heat exchanger under risk of burns.
Check the electric motor power and be sure to obtain an appropriate current, to avoid
overloading the circuit or malfunction.
After carrying out the motors electrical connections, close the terminal box with its
appropriate cover.
Before opening the terminal box of the electrical motor, be sure that the electrical
power supply is turned off. Take the same care when handling the solenoid and/or the
pressure switch.
Carry out the proper grounding of the motor to avoid electric shocks in case of electric
current escape.
6 Commissioning

6.1 Cleaning
Cleaning is a primordial factor in a Hydraulic Power Unit. The components that

constitute it are manufactured with high precision and little tolerances. Thus, during the
assembly and during the operation, the elements that compose the equipment must be
protected from any impurity.
6.2 Reservoir Supply
The reservoir has a 41 liter maximum capacity and must be filled with hydraulic fluid
according to ISO VG 32 specification with NAS 1638 class 9 maximum contamination
allowed.
The filling of the reservoir with hydraulic fluid must comply with the limits of the
level indicator markings (refer to figure 1).
Green: maximum level
Red: minimum level.
Note 4: The excess of hydraulic fluid affects the operation and the efficiency of the
Hydraulic Power Unit.
The operation under low level of the hydraulic fluid, below the minimum level
conditions, may cause the following irregularities:
a) The occurrence of vibration in the pipes, causing fluid leakage.
b) Air flow entering easily into the oil, resulting in the cavitation of the pump, noise
and malfunctioning of the valves by pressure instability.
c) Deterioration of the hydraulic fluid.
d) The hydraulic unit functions will be endangered.
General Care: When filling the reservoir, the hydraulic fluid must to be analyzed to verify
eventual impurities that can be exist, paying particular attention to the fluids taken from open
barrels.
In the Hydraulic Unit, almost all the problems occur in the initial stages of
operation and are caused by the hydraulic fluid contamination. Therefore, the control of the
contamination of the hydraulic fluid during the filling of the reservoir is very important.
6.3 Transportation and Installation

In the transportation of the Hydraulic Power Unit, always keep it attached to the pallet
with screws.
In the installation, aim at keeping the leveling of the reservoir. Do not install it on
places with an inclination over 1%.
It is important that a minimum space of 100 mm is kept between the radiator and the
wall or the closest obstacle.
For the units installation, refer to its dimensions as specified in the attached sketch 01.
7 Electrical Installation
7.1 Electrical Motor
The electric motor operates at a voltage of 220/380 V in a frequency of 50/60 Hz.

The connections must follow the directions in figure 02.

a) If the electric wiring is incorrect, the pump could turn in the reverse rotation
direction, causing damage to the equipment.
b) To start the electric motor, one must repeatedly turn it on and off to remove the air
from inside the pump and from the suction tubes (de-aeration).
c) Carry on the motors grounding so as to avoid electric shocks in case of electric
current escape.
d) Check the power of the electric motor and make sure you get an appropriate
current, in order to avoid overloading the circuit or operation failure.
e) After carrying out the motors electrical connections, close the terminal box with
its proper cover.
f) Before opening the motors terminal box, be sure the electric power supply is off.
Take the same care when handling the solenoid and/or the pressure switch.

9 Preventive Maintenance
9.1 Cleaning
Give special attention to the cleaning of the equipment.
9.2 Hydraulic Fluid Renovation
Carry out the first oil replacement after the initial 500 hours of operation.
The subsequent renovations can be done at every 3,000 or 5,000 hours, according to
the operational conditions demands.
Keep the level of the oil in the reservoir, observing periodically the level indicator. Fill
it to the proper level, in case of need.

9.3 Suction Filter
Inspection and cleaning the suction filter should be carried out either once every six months
or every 4000 hours, whichever is earlier.
9.4 Air Filter
The air filter is responsible for the filtering of the air that enters or leaves the unit
because of the operation of the equipment and the temperature changes. Periodically inspect
the air filter, performing its cleaning, when needed.
9.5 Heat Exchanger
During the first 3 months of operation, check the heat exchanger as for clogging.
Afterwards, carry out its cleaning once a year.
10 - General Care
a) Do not operate the equipment with worn-out hydraulic fluid, meaning, that it has
already lost its features. The operation under these conditions may cause damage
to the Hydraulic Unit. Therefore, the monitoring of the fluid conditions is
important.
b) Periodically, compare one sample of the hydraulic fluid from the reservoir with a
sample from the new fluid, checking as for the coloring aspects.
c) Never mix oils from different brands or types.
d) When removing the air filter, be careful to do it so, in order to avoid accumulated
dirt around it penetrating the reservoir.
e) After finishing any maintenance task, remember to carry out the de-aeration of the
equipment, according the description in item 7.1- b.
f) Never operate the Hydraulic Power Unit during the filling or the removal of fluid.
g) When filling the reservoir, analyze the hydraulic fluid as for eventual impurities,
paying particular attention to the fluids taken from open barrels.
h) Do not use fluid that has been spilt on the floor by the time of the filling.
