1 COURSE OVERVIEW
With the implementation of the Common Core State Standards, West Virginia created Integrated Mathematics 3 as
the course that all students will take their junior year. Integrated Mathematics 3 (Integrated Math for short) is
created from taking key elements out of Algebra 1, Geometry, and Trigonometry to combine them together in a way
that allows them to coincide more efficiently.

2 TEXTBOOKS AND CALCULATORS

Integrated Math 1/2, Holt McDougal (Integrated for West Virginia Schools from Algebra 1 and Geometry). A
classroom set will be maintained and students will be assigned a book to take home.
Calculators will be provided from the school for in school use. If a student has their own they are permitted to use
them. The students who use the school calculators will be responsible for them.

3 REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS

Materials- Students are expected to have pencil, paper, and textbook daily. Students will not be permitted
to keep their textbooks in the classroom and are responsible for keeping them in their locker. Students will
also need a 2 Subject Notebook for this class. All daily notes and starters will be kept in their 2 Subject
Notebook. (Two one subject notebooks will work).
Assignments- Students will be required to complete daily work assignments that range from 24-48 points.
Students will have tests and quizzes regularly and will vary depending on the topics covered. PBL (Project
Based Learning) activities will happen regularly throughout the school year. These PBLs allow students to
collaborate and learn together. Students are responsible for all assigned assignments.
Final Exam- Students will be expected to take a comprehensive final exam that covers all the topics covered
during the duration of the school year.
Engrade- Students will be expected and required to keep up with their progress in the class on the grading
system called Engrade. Students will also be required to turn in assignments on Engrade while in class and
will have access to do that during class. Engrade can be accessed from almost all mobile devices and
computers at EngradeWV.com. At the beginning of the school year all students will be setup on Engrade
and all parents should receive an alternate parent account in the first few weeks of school. (If a parent
doesnt receive the parent login please email me or call the school and I can assist you with signing up!)

4 CLASSROOM RULES AND GUIDELINES

Always be respectful to everyone and everything. No exceptions.

information, records, or any other material that is relevant to the student's participation in any course, laboratory,
or other academic exercise or function. If a student turns in work that has been copied, modified, or tampered with
in an un-honest way, and is caught, the student will receive a 0 on that assignment and will receive detention for
the first offense. All other offenses will be taken care of on an individual basis.
