Present Simple:

Present Continuous:
-Actions that are happening at the moment
Present Perfect:
Already (j): utiliza-se apenas na afirmativa e na interrogativa
Yet (ainda/j): utiliza-se apenas na negativa ou na interrogativa
Present Perfect Continuous:
-When we want to emphasize an action or situation in progress.
-With temporary actions and situations
-with present evidence
-to talk about how long something has been going on
-it is more used in informal speech
Past Simple:
-for events which happened in the past and are now finished
-for regular or habitual actions in the past
-in conditional sentences for something that you think is unlikely to happen
-for reporting what someone said.
Past Continuous:
Past Perfect:
-To describe something previously than other in the past.
Past perfect Continuous:
-Para exprimir aes que comearam e terminaram no passado, reforando a ideia de
prolongamento e continuidade
-Para descrever h quanto tempo uma determinada ao estava a decorrer antes de
outra ao acontecer

ED and ING adjetives

An adjetive ending in ING describes: what something is like, what effect it has o us.

Ex: A science fiction film can be interesting, exciting, boring

An adjetives ending in ED describes: how we feel

Ex: We can feel interested, excited, boring when watching a science fiction film

Used To + Infinitive

Past Habit/ Past Situation

We use used to with the infinitive to say that something regularly happened in the
past but doesnt happen now.

We also use used to for past situations which dont exist now.

Ex: I used to live in London. Now I live in New York.
