Please find in the following a revised list of all inclusions comprised within this
update superseding Worms Armageddon v3.0.0.0 and v3.0.5.0 Beta 1.
General
- Worms Armageddon now runs under the majority of Windows 2000 and XP Platforms.
- It is now possible to successfully minimise WA in all areas, within the front end and in game.
Front End
- Double mouse clicks are now treated as single clicks where convenient, for example when
paging through a list box of schemes or maps.
In Game
- Resolution modes up to 1920x1440 are now supported (dependant on hardware capability).
- Fixed crates that sometimes wouldn't fall (even at 100% probability on a crowded terrain).
- Fixed Graves hit from below absorbing Longbow shots.
- Fixed thinning down of some terrain types, occasionally turning solid ground into openings.
- Fixed Worm parachuting and hit by a falling Worm. Previously you lost your turn; now you
will simply fall out of the chute.
- Fixed walking off a cliff using Bungee problem, where if a crate was located beneath you the
bungee would not activate, sometimes incurring fall damage and loss of turn.
- Fixed ability to change direction while jumping in the same time frame. When time is critical,
and your Worm is limited to ground movement only, you may incur many jumps to navigate
the landscape. On landing and turning to jump in the opposite direction, it was previously
possible to have your direction-change ignored.
- Cow-doubling glitch is currently disabled. We may either re-enable it or turn it into an option.
Drawing Functions
- Brush sizes match to what is actually drawn and the arrow cursor is hidden during use.
- Addition of a tiny brush (1 pixel in the zoomed-out view, 4 pixels thick on the map).
- Draw lines by clicking start point with brush, hold down Shift and click line finish point.
Landscape Options
- The import image wraparound problem is now rectified in the majority of cases.
- Custom terrains now don't get their objects reset to a very low number.
- Fixed duplicate reference of "Tribal" terrain.
Network
- Game schemes can now include super weapons, as long as the host has “Full Wormage”.
- Now possible to scroll through message chat lists via a mouse wheel, the list must be
initially clicked upon and the scrolling is set at one line per wheel bump.
- There is now an Allied Chat function, to share battle strategies with your team mates. This
can be achieved either by the /color command function or by pressing the appropriate F key.
Cheating Loophole Prevention
- Placing a girder anywhere, even intersecting with land.
- Teleporting on top of the roof in a cavern.
- Pausing time.
- Triggering Sudden Death.
- Forcing the game to end or draw.
- Forcing the surrender of a player.
- Making all Worms invincible.
- Unleashing an unlimited number of cows, even if you have only one
- Using Parachute or Bungee during a retreat.
- Preventing WA hanging during placement by selecting an item other than Teleport or Girder
- Fuse/Herd of 0 or above 5 now isn't allowed (herd of 0 allowed user to release infinite cows).
- It is no longer possible to evade being kicked from a game at the host/join stage
- Placing a Girder instead of a Worm on starting a manual placement game, preventing the
player being located way up in the sky and untouchable during turns.
- Illegal strike angles are now not allowed; previously this could freeze a game and with a
straight-down angle, the strike plane never flew away
2.0 Installation
*IMPORTANT: Please note that this installation will overwrite existing game
files. Therefore it will not be possible to revert back to a previous version of
the game without a full re-install from the WA CD and application of the WA
Patch Version 3.0 available from the official web site. It is STRONGLY
recommended that prior to an installation of this update that you backup all
save files such as game progress, custom landscapes and sound sets.
Once the main EXE has been overwritten, you can then run the game as you
would normally.
FULL INSTALLATION
The update installer will locate and be automatically extracted into your
Worms Armageddon directory. If you encounter any installation problems
please contact us directly.
Once installed, you can then run the game as you would normally.
