Teachers Notes:

Recommended for Pre-Int Teen classes and above.

I always hand out pieces of paper and instruct the students to write
their names. Then I collect the names and hand them out at random
making sure nobody gets their own name back. I include mine as well
so I can demonstrate the activity.

Next, explain that the class will do a vocab test. The good news is
that you can help each other. The bad news is that you cant have the
same answers as your neighbour.

When most of the class are finished with the test part, hand out the
Love Letter sheet. Explain that they must copy their answers from the
test as is - they arent allowed to change them. This is the hilarious
part - most of the students crack up laughing as they write.

When everyone is finished, you can either:

have each student go to the recipient of their love letter and read it
out loud, or
have the student deliver the letter to the recipient and have the
students read out their letters in small groups.

This activity is based on one I found many years ago. I lost my copy
and was unable to find it so I recreated it from memory, with a lot of
modifications.
