Arizona Capitol News News Intern January 2017 - May 2017


I worked as a general reporter for The Arizona Capitol Times. I reported on local press
conferences and local government.

Cronkite News Washington Correspondent January 2017 - May 2017


I worked as an education reporter for Cronkite News Washington, D.C. Bureau. I
interacted with congressmen and other elected officials on a regular basis. I also pitched
stories several times a week. I have experience covering large-scale events, like the 2017
Presidential Inauguration.

The State Press Columnist and Editor August 2015 - present


I have worked as an opinion columnist, opinion editor and digital editor at The State
Press. As a columnist I pitched stories weekly and produced extra content whenever
budget gaps needed to be filled. As an opinion editor I hired 15 to 18 columnists, led
pitch meetings and edited content daily. As a digital editor I am responsible for copy
editing sports, news, arts and magazine content. I am also responsible for scheduling
social media posts on Facebook and Tweet Deck.

East Valley Tribune Editorial Intern January 2016 - May 2016


I interviewed local business owners, fundraisers and officials for profiles and event
coverage. I also contributed to the arts section, Get Out, where I wrote play and movie
reviews, and interviewed actors and producers. I was also responsible for finding content,
and writing the blurbs, for event schedules in Get Out.

Ocotillo Living Magazine Editorial Intern February 2014 - August 2015


I produced content for community and business sections, and edited all sections of the
magazine. I also created the section, Ocotillos Original, which invited community
members to submit original artwork, home design or writing to the publication.

I will be receiving my B.A. from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass
Communication, with a minor in criminal justice/criminology.
