ABSTRACT

Problem Statement
Students find it hard to perform multiplication in matrices
The traditional way of multiplying matrices is more
complicated and takes more time
Careless mistakes are also common when doing multiplication
the traditional way

Approach
To help students to easily perform the multiplication and avoid
careless mistakes, we created a technique in which the second
matrix is represented as unknowns.
The first matrix is multiplied with the respective unknowns, and
the resulting equation is then solved by substituting the value of
the second, therefore obtaining the resulting matrix.
However, this method can only be used for square matrices.

Result
Students find it easier to perform the multiplication for
matrices.
They are able to avoid careless mistakes, and the process is
faster than the traditional method.

Conclusion
Students can master the topic Matrices, and perform better in
exams.
When encountering questions on matrices, students take less
time to solve it, therefore it saves time.
