UOBM DEBIT MASTERCARD

SPEND & WIN AIRASIA E-GIFT VOUCHER AND GET 10% CASH BACK CAMPAIGN
TERMS & CONDITIONS

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (271809-K) (UOBM) is running a SPEND & WIN
AIRASIA E-GIFT VOUCHER AND GET 10% CASH BACK Campaign (Campaign) from 1st July
2017 to 30th September 2017 (both dates inclusive) or such other dates as may be
determined by UOBM from time to time (Campaign Period).

Eligibility
1. This Campaign is open to all eligible UOBM Debit Mastercard Cardmembers
(Cardmembers) and:
(a) whose account(s) held with UOBM are current, valid and subsisting as determined
by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion; and
(b) who are not in breach of the UOBM Debit Mastercard Terms and Conditions.

2. The following shall not be eligible for the Campaign:-


(a) Cardmembers whose Card are terminated, suspended or cancelled within the
Campaign Period;
(b) Cardmembers whose account(s) held with UOBM are delinquent or unsatisfactorily
conducted as determined by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion; and
(c) Persons who are or become mentally unsound, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or
have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them.

Registration
3. In order to participate in this Campaign, the Cardmembers must register via following
methods anytime during the Campaign Period:
(a) register their UOBM Debit Mastercard (Card) number via short messaging service
(SMS) to 66300:
DMC3<space>UOBM Debit Mastercard 16-digit number; or
(b) if receive an invitation via SMS from UOBM, must follow the instructions in the SMS
to register.

4. Cardmembers must ensure that they have keyed in the correct Card number in the
SMS.

5. Standard telecommunication charges will apply for each SMS sent and such charges
shall be borne by the Cardmembers.

6. Upon successful registration, the Cardmembers will receive a confirmation via SMS at
no cost. Such confirmation will be sent to the mobile number used for the registration.
The SMS registration shall not be deemed as successful unless the Cardmembers have
received a confirmation of the registration via SMS from UOBM.

7. In the event that the SMS received by UOBM is incomplete and/or invalid, a SMS will be
sent to the Cardmembers at no cost notifying them to re-register.

8. If the date and time of a successful SMS registration captured in the UOBMs system
differs or a dispute arises as to when the registration took place, the UOBMs system
date and time shall prevail.
Campaign Mechanics
9. Cardmembers must use their Card in the following manner to meet the Eligible
Spend:
(a) perform a minimum of ten (10) Eligible Transactions (set out in clause 10) within
the Participating Month, set out as follows; and

(b) perform a minimum of RM10 per transaction.

10. Eligible Transaction refers to any purchase or payment of goods and/or services with
the Card present or Card not-present including but not limited to online purchase or
payment, Mail Order or Telephone Order and auto-payment.

11. Non-Eligible Transaction shall include the following:


a) Quasi-Cash transactions (including and not limited to betting and/or gaming
transactions);
b) ATM transactions (including and not limited to cash withdrawal, cash advance and
deposit transactions);
c) Any fees and charges imposed by UOBM (including and not limited to annual fees,
card replacement fees and cash withdrawal fees);
d) Any unposted, void, cancelled, refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent
transactions; and
e) Such other transactions as UOBM may determine from time to time.

12. The Eligible Spend made during the Campaign Period must be captured by the debit
card system maintained by UOBM in order to be eligible for participation in this
Campaign.

13. In order to determine whether the Cardmembers meet the Eligible Spend, the Eligible
Spend for each Participating Month is calculated from 00:00 hours (Malaysia time) on
the first day of the Participating Month to 23:59 hours (Malaysia time) on the last day of
the Participating Month. The date and time will be based on the record maintained by
UOBM and such record shall be deemed as conclusive evidence of transaction made by
the Cardmembers.

14. For joint Current Account or Savings Account (CASA), the transaction for the joint
CASA Cardmembers will be combined with the primary CASA Cardmembers transaction
for this Campaign in determining whether the primary CASA Cardmember satisfies the
Eligible Spend (as defined in Clause 9 above).

15. Only the primary CASA Cardmembers will be entitled to win the Prizes.

A) Mechanics to get 10% Cash Back on Weekends (Monthly Prize):


16. Cardmembers who fulfill the Eligible Spend within a Participating Month will be entitled
to ten percent (10%) Cash Back on weekend spending (Cash Back). For the avoidance
of doubt, weekend is defined as any Saturdays and Sundays (including public holiday).
17. The Cash Back will be given on first-come, first-served basis. In case of a tie, the tie-
breaker will be determined based on the higher Eligible Spend value.

18. The Cash Back is capped at RM50 per Cardmember per Participating Month and RM150
per Cardmember throughout the Campaign Period.

19. A total amount of RM36,000 Cash Back will be given throughout the Campaign Period.
The maximum amount of RM12,000 Cash Back will be given in each Participating
Month. UOBM will not be responsible in notifying Cardmembers should the Cash Back
have reached the maximum amount.

20. The Cardmembers who are entitled to the Cash Back will be notified through a letter
which will be sent to the Cardmembers mailing address maintained in UOBMs system.

21. The Cash Back will be credited into the Cardmembers CASA within one (1) month after
the expiry of each Participating Month. The crediting of the Cash Back will be reflected
in the Cardmembers Statement of Account the following month.

B) Mechanics to win AirAsia e-Gift Voucher worth RM500 (Grand Prize):


22. The top fifteen (15) Cardmembers with Eligible Spend with the highest number of
Eligible Transaction during the Campaign Period will be entitled to win the Grand Prize.
In case of a tie, the tie-breaker will be determined based on the higher Eligible Spend
value.

23. Each Cardmember is eligible to win one (1) Grand Prize only and there is a total of
fifteen (15) Grand Prizes to be given for this Campaign.

24. The Cardmember who is entitled to the Cash Back will also be eligible to win the Grand
Prize. Permanent and contract employees of UOBM (including UOBMs subsidiaries and
related companies) are not entitled to win the Grand Prize.

25. The winners of the Grand Prize will be notified via SMS within four (4) to six (6) weeks
after the Campaign ends.

26. The Grand Prize will be emailed to the Grand Prize winners email address maintained
in UOBMs system within two (2) weeks from the date of the SMS notification sent.

27. The Grand Prize winners must have a valid email address maintained in UOBM system
in order to receive the Grand Prize.

Prizes
28. This Campaign offers two (2) types of prizes (Prizes) which is set out as follows:

Grand Prize 15 x AirAsia e-Gift Voucher (EGV) worth RM500 each

29. The Grand Prize is subject to the terms and conditions imposed by AirAsia Berhad.

30. The Grand Prize will be issued by AirAsia Berhad and the following additional terms and
conditions shall be applied:
a. EGV is only redeemable online on www.airasia.com.my. EGV cannot be redeemed
at airport ticket counters, call centre , travel agents or mobile app;
b. EGV redemption is subject to AirAsia Electronic Gift Voucher (E-Gift Voucher) End
User Terms & Conditions.

31. By participating in this Campaign, the Cardmembers hereby consent to and agree that
UOBM shall be at liberty to disclose full name and the email address to AirAsia Berhad
or a substitute service provider if the necessity arises, to facilitate the redemption
process of the Grand Prizes.

32. At the time of awarding the Prizes, the Cardmembers CASA must be current, valid and
subsisting as may be determined by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion and not in
breach of these terms and conditions and/or the UOBM Debit Mastercard Terms and
Conditions.

33. Any props, accessories or equipment featured together with the Prizes in all printed
materials or electronic mail are for decorative purposes only and shall not form part of
the Prizes.

34. The Prizes awarded are on an as-is basis, non-transferable to any other party or
parties and not exchangeable for cash, other goods or credit, whether in part or in full.

35. UOBM reserves the right:


a. to forfeit the Prizes in the event where there is a reversal of Eligible Spend
transactions entry or termination of the Cardmembers Card prior to awarding the
Prizes, or non-compliance or breach of these terms and conditions or UOBM Debit
Mastercard Terms and Conditions with prior notice without assigning any reason;
b. to substitute the Prizes with any product of similar or equivalent value with prior
notice; and
c. to withdraw, suspend, extend or terminate earlier this Campaign prior to the expiry
of the Campaign Period in whole or in part, at any time with prior notice at its
absolute discretion.

General Terms and Conditions


36. The Cardmembers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the terms and
conditions in the UOBM Debit Mastercard Terms and Conditions. If there is any
inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the UOBM Debit Mastercard
Terms and Conditions in connection with this Campaign, these terms and conditions
will prevail.

37. By participating in this Campaign, the winners give their consent to and authorize
UOBM to disclose or publish their names and IC numbers (in masked form) in media,
marketing or advertising for the purposes of this Campaign.

38. The decisions of UOBM in all matters relating to this Campaign and in the case of
dispute, will be final and binding on the Cardmembers.

39. UOBM shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in transmission of sales
transactions by Mastercard Worldwide, MyClear, merchant establishments, postal or
telecommunication authorities or any party in which may result in the Cardmembers
failing to be entitled to the Prizes under this Campaign.
40. The record of transactions maintained by UOBM and UOBMs decision on all matters
relating to this Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Cardmembers.
UOBM shall not be obliged to give any reason or entertain any correspondence with
any person on any matter concerning this Campaign. No appeal and/or correspondence
from any Cardmembers or any third party will be entertained.

41. UOBM is not affiliated with AirAsia Berhad and makes no representation or warranty
with respect to suitability of the Grand Prize.

42. UOBM shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts by any
unauthorized third party in respect of this Campaign and/or the Prizes offered which is
published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials.

43. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liability of any nature and however
arising or suffered by the Cardmembers and/or any third party resulting directly or
indirectly from this Campaign unless it arises from UOBMs negligence or wilful
misconduct specifically related to this Campaign.

44. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UOBM expressly excludes and disclaims any
representation, warranty or endorsement, express or implied, written or oral, without
limitation to those published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials,
including but not limited to, any warranty of quality, merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose in respect of this Campaign and the Prizes offered under this
Campaign.

45. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any
advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with
this Campaign, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

46. UOBM reserves the right at its absolute discretion to withdraw, suspend, extend or
terminate this Campaign prior to the expiry of the Campaign Period, wholly or in part,
at any time with prior notice.

47. UOBM reserves the right to add, delete, suspend and/or vary these terms and
conditions, from time to time, wholly or in part, at its absolute discretion, by providing
twenty one (21) days prior notice to the Cardmembers through posting on UOBMs
website, displaying a notice at any of UOBMs branches, a statement insert in the
Statement of Account and/or any other manner as may be determined by UOBM from
time to time.

48. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the
laws of Malaysia and the Cardmembers agree to submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
