Precautions

Before using PhotoMaker Pro, please ensure that you read and under-
03 stand the safety precautions described below. Always ensure that the
PhotoMaker Pro is operated correctly.

1. Do not try to open the case of the PhotoMaker Pro or attempt to
04 modify it in any way. High-voltage internal components create the
risk of electric shock when exposed. Maintenance and repairs should
05 be performed only by authorized service providers.
06 2. Keep PhotoMaker Pro away from water and other liquids. Do not
use with wet hands. Moisture creates the danger of fire and electric
08 shock.
09 3. If you notice smoke or a strange odor coming from the PhotoMaker
Pro, turn the power off immediately. Contact the Kaiser Baas Support
14 Centre to organise repair. Never attempt to repair PhotoMaker Pro on
your own.
15 4. Use only the supplied power accessories. Use of power sources
16 not expressly recommended for the PhotoMaker Pro may lead to
overheating, distortion of the equipment, fire, electrical shock or
17 other hazards.
5. PhotoMaker Pro may become slightly warm during use. This does not
21 indicate malfunction.
22 6. If the exterior of PhotoMaker Pro needs cleaning, wipe it with a soft,
dry cloth.

Charging the battery pack

ng it The battery pack is not charged at the time of purchase and therefore
needs to be charged before use. If the battery charge becomes low while
you are using the PhotoMaker Pro, it is recommended to recharge it as
ties soon as possible.
1. Insert the battery pack into the battery compartment (see page 8)
2. You may charge the battery in 2 ways:

(a) Plug the mini USB end of the supplied USB cable to the USB port of
the PhotoMaker Pro, and plug the other end of the cable into the USB
port of your computer/notebook. Please charge the battery at least
5.5~6 hours prior to your first use.

Placing film/ slide into the holder

1. Keep the glossy surface with the Kaiser Baas logo facing upward.
Open the negative/ slide holder as Illustrated.

2. Put a slide/ negative/ 110 mm film into holder as shown

To get the best image wait for the image display on the LCD screen to
adjust the brightness until it becomes stable, before pressing copy. It
normally take 3~4 seconds, depending on the brightness of your film.

Note: To save power the

PhotoMaker Pro will automatically
sleep if you dont use it for more
than 3 minutes. You may wake up
the PhotoMaker Pro by pressing type/

Linking the SD Card to a computer

The PhotoMaker Pro behaves like a memory card reader when you
connect it to your PC. This allows you to download your photos from the
SD card to your PC if you do not have an SD card reader on your PC.

1. Plug the USB cable to the

Photo Editing Tools
The Photo Editing Tools module in Arcsoft MediaImpression includes a
complete set of photo enhancement, editing and retouching controls.
The windows can be stretched to provide a large size viewing area of the
active photo. Double click the modules tool bar to maximise the window
to fill the computer screen. In addition to the large photo workspace, the
Photo Editing Tools module includes five distinct sets of controls:

1.1. Enhance
The Enhance feature includes two types of controls:
- Auto Enhance
Click the Auto Enhance button to improve the overall quality of your
pictures with a single click.
- Manual Fix
For precise image enhancement control, adjust the brightness, contrast
and sharpen sliders. How to enhance a photo manually:
1. Move the sliders to adjust the level of brightness, contrast, saturation,
hue and sharpen for adjustment.
2. Use the zoom slider to get a closer look at how the adjustment affects
the photo.
3. Click Apply if you like the result. Click Cancel if you do not.

The Healing Brush is good for fixing dust, scratches and removing skin
