Monticello business wins
Chamber golf tourney

Last weeks annual
Becker Area Chamber of
Commerce golf outing fea-
tured 44 players and 11 teams
and was held on a warm sum-
mer evening at Pebble Creek.
The foursome from Ed-
ward Jones Linda Winkel-
man, Bob Winkelman, Paige
Lingman and Jordan Lingman
came away with the first
place prize with the lowest
score. Second place went to
the Vetsches and Joneses
(Darek and Mason Vetsch and
Wayne and Colton Jones) of
Russells on the Lake.
Finishing in last place
was the foursome from Xcel
Energy, Steve Schoenborn,
Jared Graham, Bill Wilts and
Tom Wark.
It was a great day with
beautiful weather, said
Chamber Manager Lynette
Brannan. Everyone said they
had a great time and loved the
dinner served.
The dinner was prime rib
and chicken catered by Rus-
sells on the Lake.
The golf took place at 3
p.m. last Thursday and was
played on the Blue 9. Many
side games were played
along the course including a
golf ball roll down a tape
measurer, an egg and spoon
carry through a rope ladder
and tic-tac-toe. Golfers were
also given the opportunity to
purchase scratch-offs and buy
mulligans to increase their
chances at bringing home
prizes.
Numerous businesses
