To get access to the HPVL training environment, you need to request access for it. The
Limited Student Guide (that will be available to you after registering in Grow@hp) will give
you instructions how to request access to the training environment.
This eLearning solution is provided without real-time assistance from an instructor and no
SAP support is offered. If you get stuck, it is up to you to check with colleagues or other
sources how to solve the issue.
You will remotely access your SAP eLearning environment through the HP Virtual Labs
(HPVL). You need to connect your PC/Laptop to the HPVL on the HP Intranet. You have to
have fast speed connection to the HP Intranet either via direct access or via VPN.

You are not allowed to copy the software to your PC or to anywhere else. You are not
allowed to use the software and/or the HP Virtual Labs environment for any tasks
related to customer engagements such as demonstrations or software development
in your customer-related projects. By accessing the eLearning solution, you confirm

Audience
This learning solution is targeted at ABAP programmers in HP who like to practice writing
ABAP code. Beginners with basic knowledge on SAP and ABAP are invited to use the
sandbox same as experienced people. Colleagues from all HP organizations are welcome.
Objectives
This Sandbox is provided to let you practice ABAP coding.
Prerequisites
Recommended:
SAP Overview
Navigation in SAP GUI / SAP ERP.
Some SAP functional know-how: How to configure SAP GUI and how to login to a
SAP instance by using SAP GUI; how to execute a transaction code.
Basic ABAP/4 Commands.
In case you do not have basic/overview skills, the Limited Student Guide will point you to
appropriate learning solutions.
In order to access further documentation on the SAP Service Marketplace you have to have
an S-UserID / OSS ID.
System requirements
The student PC/Laptop must have a direct connection to HP LAN (Not through Dial-
up).
SAP GUI 6.40 or higher with the latest patch must be installed on the students
PC/Laptop. SAP GUI can be installed through HP PC-COE CM Application Self-
Service manager. For further information related to SAP GUI, this link could be

To work with Adobe software components, the following items must be installed on
the students PC/Laptop:
o Adobe Reader.
o Adobe Active Component Framework (ACF), according to SAP Note
766191.
o Adobe Lifecycle Designer client software. Access to the installation file is
granted through the HPVL system.
