This letter introduces and describes this release, which is supported on the indicated platform(s).

This Release Contains

A full release of AVEVA PDMS-VPRM Gateway, which replaces the full release 52013 AVEVA
PDMS-VPRM Gateway 5.5.

Prerequisite for this release - operating system:

Build Operating System Windows 7
Minimum Supported O/S Version (for Windows 7 Service Pack 1
each supported platform)
Mandatory O/S Patches (for each
supported platform)

Please note that recommended/supported hardware and software configurations are constantly subject to review, so
please consult the AVEVA support web pages for the latest recommendations.

Prerequisite for this release - products:

Oracle 10g or 11gR2 32-bit Client for Windows 7.

Supersedes:
This release supersedes the previous full release 52269 AVEVA PDMS-VPRM Gateway 5.5.

PDMS-VPRM Gateway 5.6, release number 52439.

PDMS Implementation:
To run PDMS with the PDMS-VPRM Gateway use script :-

\PDMS-VPRM5.6\PDMS_VPRM_pdms.bat

Evar pdms_installed_dir should be set to the appropriate PDMS installation folder.

Evar pdms_vprm_installed_dir evar should be set to the appropriate Gateway installation folder.

E3D Implementation:
To run the E3D Paragon module with the PDMS-VPRM Gateway use script :-

\PDMS-VPRM5.6\PDMS_VPRM_e3d_CAT.bat

To run the E3D Model or Isodraft modules with the PDMS-VPRM Gateway use script :-

\PDMS-VPRM5.6\PDMS_VPRM_e3d_DES.bat

Evar AVEVA_DESIGN_INSTALLED_DIR should be set to the appropriate E3D installation folder.

Evar AVEVA_DESIGN_VPRM_INSTALLED_DIR should be set to the appropriate Gateway
installation folder.

PRODUCT QUALITY STATEMENT

The development, maintenance and testing of AVEVA Solutions software products is carried out
in accordance with the companys KEYSTONE lifecycle processes and this document includes a
summary of the testing carried out on this release and a list of significant defects known to exist at
the time of release.

Development Testing
Developers have carried out unit testing of each enhancement and/or fix in the development
environment to verify that any new functionalities have been correctly implemented and identified
defects have been corrected.

Regression tests have been run in the development environment to verify that enhancements
and/or fixes have not adversely affected the integrity of the product.

System Testing
Limited independent system testing has been carried out on this product, as released, to verify
that it installs correctly in all supported configurations, that any new functionalities have been
correctly implemented and identified defects have been corrected.

Acceptance Testing
AVEVAs Group Solutions Centre is satisfied that the System Testing for this release is sufficient
to assure product quality.

Any exceptions found during Acceptance Testing or after release will be reported in the Product
Release Latest Update Note on AVEVA's support web site
