Originally, my main concentration was on town residents who pay taxes and vote in the town, This group amounted to 102 signatures collected. After several request by non residents you will see there are eight signatures of people, five of whom are business and property owners in the town, ‘The remaining three are concerned or interested citizens who contacted me to sign the petition. 1 also have one letter from a non resident who owns several businesses in the town, It was my intent to try and gather a good statistical sample of residents who share the same concerns about the Mosby House and Visitor's Center property. The diversity of my sample represents citizens from all around the town limits, These 102 citizens are comprised of educators, lawyers, law enforcement personnel, architectural historians, health care providers and former members of the defunct Mosby Foundation, They are federal, state, county and town employees, both active and retired. Included in the petition are church leaders and civic leaders within our community. Secretaries, stone masons, real estate agents and business owners from all sections of town are represented here. There are also citizens who currently and who in the past have taken an active part in the town’s zoning and ARB development and regulation. My hope is that you, the Town Council for the Town of Warrenton, will take time to review this list of citizens who were willing to put their names on the Line in support of the sale of both the Mosby House and Visitor's Center. To my knowledge, this group of citizens’ only interest is in good government when it comes to the liquidation of these properties. Our Visitor Center Assistants tally the guests who come to the Visitor Center and that is how we calculate our numbers. In January through December, 2015, we had 24,317 visitors in the Visitor Center.
