(PR & SOV) is designed Compact
to control the flow of high
temperature engine bleed air. Fail Safe
An example of its application
is the air cooled fuel cooler Simple construction
on the Tornado aircraft where
the valve, on selection, Reliable operation
induces air through the cooler
to augment flow during
aircraft taxiing or low speed
flight.
The unit comprises a
Pressure Reducing Valve
(PRV) and a solenoid operated
shut-off valve housed in a
single compact package. The
SOV is designed to close
automatically in the event of a
PRV or electrical failure.
