The scope of this project:

1. to decrease the high number of abortion;
2. to prevent the maternal abandon

We offer:
- Free pregnancy tests;
- Counseling women in pregnancy crisis at our office (2 hours/a day) and at the
1st Gynecology Clinic (with the help of prof. dr. Ioan V. Surcel);
- Financial and material (clothing, diapers, food, etc.) support for all the mothers
that are giving up the abortion;
- Counseling women that want to abandon their children from various reasons;
financial and material help for those that are keeping their babies;
- Prevention work in the high schools from Cluj-Napoca, offering lectures about
abortion, sexual transmitted diseases and secondary effects of oral
contraception;
- Free informative materials (CDs, flyers, brochures) on the higher mentioned
topic and video tapes with the movie The Dumb Scream to all those interested;
- Group activity with future mothers: advises for pregnant woman (pregnancy
hygiene, life style, gymnastics, etc.) and, after birth, tips for raking care of the
baby;
- Spiritual assistance offered to the women in a pregnancy crisis or in a post-
abortion crisis; our spiritual advisor is offered daily between 8.30-10.00 by His
Grace Bishop Vasile Someanul at the Chapel of the Orthodox Theology Faculty;
- Post-abortion counseling;
- Pilgrimage at the monasteries for the mothers and children included in the
project.

 The Dumb Scream of these children has won!

The child exists from the moment of conception when he already has a soul!

The embryological development of the baby:

at 6 weeks (!) he already feels the pain; this is the period when the abortion is
legally allowed (6-12 weeks);
from the 18th day his heart beats already; the cardiac frequency is 140/minute
and the electrical activity of the heart can be registered;
at 5 weeks, the brain is functioning and new nervous cells are developing
each minute;
at 5-6 weeks the baby can taste and smell;
he moves at 7 weeks;
at 9 weeks hes got reactions to light;
at 10 weeks his blood type can be identified;
at 11 weeks he can roll over, he can suck his finger, he can feel the uterine
walls, he can swallow amniotic liquid;
at 12 weeks he is about 6,35 cm long and about 28,3 grams; all his organs
are already formed.

What is abortion?
Did you know its a sin?
The church calls it baby-killing!
Its so nice to be a mother!

Which are the consequences of abortion?

Losing the baby: each child is more precious than any material treasure in
the world!
For the mother:
Physical consequences: wounds of the uterus (the perforation is the
most dangerous), followed by hemorrhage, frequent uterus removal
and even death; uterus infections, septicemia, death, sterility;
Psychological consequences: depression, guilt, sleep and eating
disorders, fear, nightmares with the killed baby, serious psychosis,
schizophrenicall reactions, sometimes even suicide;

For the family: family disagreements, fights, divorce;

For the society: dangerous drop of the number of births!

Project results:

- We had 422 counseling sessions at our office and at the 1 st Gynecology

Clinic;
- We have 21 mothers in the project, from which 18 have given up abortion and
3 have given up abandoning their children; 16 of them have already given
birth.
- 3 of the mothers are high school students;

The Statistics = an warning sign!!!

- The students age has dropped from 17 18 years to 14-15 years!

- 20% of the women having abortion are high school and university students.
- Our statistics show that the material poverty is not the reason for having an
abortion, but the spiritual poverty that has conquered our society. People
want to have a comfortable life, without too many children, without worrying
about their education, forgetting that the Christian family is the only one that
brings us happiness in our life down on Earth and in the eternal life.
