GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY

On Monday, July 24, 2017, the Gulf County Sheriffs Office (GCSO) received a trespassing
complaint in the 100 block of State Road 71 in Wewahitchka. K-9 Deputy M. Peek
responded to the complaint to conduct an investigation. The complainant reported Remy
Babe Miller (23) was trespassed from the business back on June 17, 2017, after he was
caught shoplifting. On this date Miller came inside the business violating the trespass
warning. K-9 Deputy Peek reviewed the business surveillance video and verified Miller in
fact entered the business. Miller had left the business prior to law enforcement arrival.
An arrest warrant charging Miller with Trespassing in an Occupied Structure has been
applied for.

On July 24, the GCSO received a residential burglary complaint in the 900 block of Indian
Pass Road in the Indian Pass area. Deputy P. Baxley responded to the complaint to
conduct an investigation. The complainant reported the residence is for sale and last
visited the residence a couple of weeks before. The complainant reported a chandelier,
bar stools, window latches, outdoor furniture and a mailbox were stolen during the
burglary. This case has been assigned to the GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID).
Lt. P. Beasley continues to investigate.

On Tuesday, July 25, Sgt. C. Dixon served William Nathan Hughes (38) with a Violation of
Probation arrest warrant at the Gulf County Detention Facility (GCDF).

On Wednesday, July 26, the GCSO received a theft complaint in the 200 block of Magnolia
Avenue in the Howard Creek area. Deputy D. House responded to the complaint to
conduct an investigation. The complainant reported a black in color dump utility trailer
had been stolen. The trailer was described as, black dump style with white pin stripe.
This case has been assigned to the GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID).
Investigator L. Dickey continues to investigate.

On July 26, Investigators P. Williams and S. Ferrell served an arrest warrant on Michael
Stephen Stripling (27) in the 200 block of Bay Avenue in Wewahitchka. Stripling was
wanted by the GCSO for Domestic Battery. The warrant was the result of a domestic
violence incident that occurred on July 22, 2017. Stripling was arrested and transported
to the GCDF.

On July 26, Deputy M. Layfield served Heather Rene Coyle (43) with a Violation of
Probation arrest warrant at the GCDF.

On Thursday, July 27, the GCSO received several burglaries complaints that occurred in
area of the 6100 block of Cape San Blas Road. Deputy G. Desrosier, Investigator L. Dickey
and Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) R. Zemlock responded to the complaints to conduct an
investigation. The investigation revealed rod and reels, fishing equipment, several
IPhones and a Yeti cooler were stolen during the burglaries. The burglaries are believed
to all be related. Investigator Dickey continues to investigate.

On Friday, July 28, the GCSO received a theft complaint in the 7600 block of Shoreline
Drive in the Cape San Blas area. Deputy D. House responded to the theft to conduct an
investigation. The complainant reported three rod and reels were stolen from
underneath the residence. This case is believed to be related to several other burglaries
reported to the GCSO on July 27. Investigator L. Dickey continues to investigate.

On July 28, the GCSO received a burglary complaint in the 300 block of Treasure Drive in
the Indian Pass area. Deputy C. Harvey responded to the complaint to conduct an
investigation. The complainant reported two Yeti coolers were stolen from underneath
the residence. This case has been assigned to the CID. Investigator L. Dickey continues
to investigate.

On Sunday, July 30, the GCSO received a theft complaint that occurred in the 100 block
of Neal Road in the Wewahitchka area. Deputy M. Manley responded to the complaint
to conduct an investigation. The complainant reported $150.00 in cash, jewelry and a
hand held video game device were stolen from their residence. This case has been
assigned to CID. Investigator L. Greenwood continues to investigate.
