WARRENTON, Va (July 28, 2017)---The Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company siren test
will be delayed on Saturday, July, 29th 2017. The testing will occur near 3p.m., to
coincide with the closing of the graveside service and last call.

Honoring-

Samuel B. Tarr of Warrenton, VA passed on July 25, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital
surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on July 2, 1935 in Dallas, SD, to the late
Horace B. and Dora F. Tarr. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean
Conflict and retired from the Army Corp of Engineers. Sam began volunteering with the
Warrenton Vol. Fire Department in 1959. He served as the Fire Chief for 9 years and
received the status of a lifetime member. He also served as President of the Fauquier Fire
and Rescue Association for many years. Sam served as a member of the Warrenton Town
Council for 13 years. In recognition of his many years of serving his community, the
Town of Warrenton dedicated the Samuel B. Tarr Park in his honor. Sam was a
member of Warrenton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Elizabeth G. Tarr and his children, Sam Tarr, Jr.
and wife Denise of Winchester, VA, Donna McCampbell and husband Scott of St.
Petersburg, FL and Bobby Tarr and wife Mary of Orlean, VA. He is also survived by his
grandchildren, Brandon McCampbell, Travis McCampbell, Hunter McCampbell and
Trey Tarr and his beloved dog Buster.

Visitation will be held Friday July 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be held at Moser Funeral Home on Saturday, July 29 at 2 p.m.
