At the end of the course and given actual clients with maladaptive patterns of behavior, the students

shall be able to:

1. Integrate knowledge from nursing and other scientific and humanistic and other scientific and
humanistic disciplines as it relates to mental health issues.

2. Use the nursing process and knowledge of mental health to provide holistic care to diverse
populations across the lifespan.

3. Include evidence based findings in the provision of mental health nursing care.

4. Demonstrate conduct that reflects core professional values and legal and ethical principles.

5. Effectively communicate in speaking, writing, and presenting using culturally-appropriate language with client/s
and their family and the health team.

6. Document data on client care clearly, concisely, accurately and in a timely manner.

PROGRAM OUTCOME:

1. Apply knowledge of physical, social, natural and health sciences and humanities in the practice of
nursing across the lifespan.

2. Provide safe, quality, appropriate, culturally-sensitive and holistic care to individuals, families,
population groups and communities utilizing the nursing process.

3. Apply guidelines and principles of evidence-based practice in the delivery of care in any setting.

4. Practice nursing in accordance with the professional standards, legal and ethico-moral principles.

5. Communicate effectively both oral and written, utilizing patient care technologies, information
systems and communication devices in presenting culturally-appropriate

language.

6. Document and report on client care accurately and comprehensively utilizing appropriate and
effective recording methods.

7. Work effectively with other disciplines and multicultural teams, using intra and inter personal
collaborative skills.

8. Practice beginning management, leadership and decision-making skills in the delivery of quality client
care.

9. Conduct research with an experienced researcher and present/publish results of the scientific
investigation in an academic quora and utilize relevant research findings.
10. Engage in life-long learning with a passion to keep current with national and global developments in
general, and nursing and health developments in particular.

11. Demonstrate responsible citizenship and pride of being a Filipino by preserving and promoting the
nations heritage and culture and by imbibing the Filipino values.

12. Design and apply techno-intelligent care systems and processes in health care delivery.

13. Adopt the nursing core values in the delivery of nursing care.
