Objetivo General: Desarrollar las habilidades bsicas para escuchar, hablar, comprender, leer y
escribir para manejar los diferentes elementos constitutivos de la lengua.
Estndar General: Hablo de m, de mis compaeros y de nuestras actividades cotidianas con oraciones
simples, encadenadas lgicamente y a veces memorizadas. An se me dificulta hablar de temas que se
salen de mi rutina familiar o escolar.

Preposiciones de modo

1. With: (con). Ej. Will you go out with her on Friday?

2. Without: (sin). Ej. John had agreed without argument.
3. From: (desde). Ej. The train from London was very late.
4. Of: (de). Seala una relacin de pertenencia. Ej. Did
John think of her that way?
5. By: (por/para). Puede sealar una relacin de proximidad entre objetos, o bien la forma
en que se realiza una accin. Ej. She was stunned by my beauty.

Preposiciones de lugar

9. On: (sobre, en, encima de). Tambin es utilizada como preposicin de tiempo. Ej. The
cat is on the table.
10. Upon: Variante ms formal para expresar el mismo sentido que on (sobre, en encima
de) pero slo como preposicin de lugar. Ej. He put the book upon the table.
11. At: (en). Se utiliza tanto para indicar que algo o alguien est en lugares comunes (la
escuela, el trabajo), como para lugares especficos y direcciones. Tambin para
referirnos a posiciones con respecto a algo ms (en lo alto, al costado, etc.). Ej. The
title is at the the top of the page.
12. In: (en, dentro de). Se utiliza para indicar que algo o alguien est en un pas, una
ciudad, una habitacin. Ej. I am in Rome.
13. Inside: (dentro de, en). The food is inside the oven.
14. Outside: (afuera). Ej. Being outside is not a good idea with this weather.
15. Above: (por encima de).
16. Below: (debajo de). Sin tener contacto necesariamente. There are insects below you.
17. Over: (sobre). Sin tener contacto necesariamente.
18. Under: (debajo). The dog is under the table.
19. Beneath: (debajo de). You can not breath beneath the surface.
20. By: (junto a). Stand by me, you will be ok.
21. Near: (cerca de). I live near Palo Alto, in San Francisco.
22. Across: (a travs, al otro lado de). Ej. A slow smile worked its way across his face and
into his eyes.
