Subject: Hiring Guidelines for Senior High School (SHS) Teaching Positions for School Year
(SY) 2017-2018
1. In compliance with DepEd Order No. 3, s. 2016, reHiring Guidelines for SHS Teaching Positions
Effective SY 2016-2017and DepEd Order 32, s. 2016 re Addendum to DO 3, s. 2016, this Office
announces the conduct of School and Division assessment of SHS teacher applicants for SY 2017-
2018 in the following tracks and strands using the same Order.
a. On Education
Sports Track
Bachelor's degree majoring in the fields under the Track; or any Bachelor's degree with
at least 15 units of specialization in fields under the Track
Note that in case he/she is due for appointment, he/she will be appointed in schools where his/her
services are much needed, whether on lowland or upland schools.
6. The School Screening Committee and School Personnel Selection Board shall be created by the
School Head and perform functions in accordance with DepEd Order 3, s. 2016 and DepEd Order
66, s. 2007.
It also verifies and certifies as to completeness, veracity, accuracy and authenticity
of documents by accomplishing SSC Fonn 1 (refer to Inclosure 1, template is
downloadable on DepEd NV website. Include numerical results to be validated by
the Division Selection Committee.

The photocopy with the certification will be forwarded to the SDO Attention
HRMO through the Records Section on or before March 14, 2017. Submit two
sets: (a) Deped Employee applicants and (b) other applicants.
The other photocopy will serve as file for the School and the original copy to be
kept by the applicant for emergency reference during the assessment proper.
7. To have better assistance and monitoring of the activities, the Education Program Supervisors.
Public Schools District Supervisors/District in-Charge.
8. The Division Selection Committee (DSC) chaired by the OIC-Assistant Schools Division
Superintendent shall assess all documents using the evaluation criteria and prepare the Registry of
Qualified Applicants (RQA) as required in the DepEd Order.
9. The English Proficiency Test will be conducted tentatively on March 5, 2017. Further confirmation
will be announced later.
