Dry Gas
1. A vessel contains 100 lbmoles of a hydrocarbon gas. Calculate the standard cubic feet of gas in the vessel.
2. The following table gives volumetric data at 180F for a natural gas. Determine the coefficient of isothermal compressibility for this
gas at 180F and 1100 psia.

Wet Gas
7. A wet gas is produced through a two-stage separator system. Separator conditions are 580 psia and 95F. The stock tank is at
80F. Gas-Oil ratios are 98835 SCF/STB and 408 SCF/STB. Stock-tank liquid is 55.4 API. Compositions of the surface streams
are given below Calculate the composition of the reservoir gas. Additionally, it is known that the conditions of pressure and
temperature in the reservoir are of 2100 psia and 180 F, respectively; Calculate the viscosity of the fluid at these conditions.
8. A wet gas produces 170516 SCF/STB of 0.646 specific gravity separator gas, 492 SCF/STB of 1.184 specific gravity stock-tank
gas, and 64.7API sotck-tank liquid. Calculate the specific gravity of the reservoir gas.
9. A reservoir containing retrograde gas a reservoir pressure higher than th dew-point pressure of the gas as evidenced by constant
producing gas-oil ratio. The gas is produced through three stages of separation. Surface production rates, specific gravities and
conditions are given below.Stok- tank oil gravity is 55.2API. Calculate the specific gravity of the reservoir gas.

Black Oil
10. You have just discovered a petroleum reservoir. Initial testing of the well produced 76 barrels of 18.2API stock-tank oil and 14.1
Mscf of gas in 24 hours. What is the solution gas-oil ratio? At ehat pressure does this solution gas-oil ratio apply?
11. A black oil reservoir has just been discovered. Reservoir Pressure appears to be above the bubble point pressure of the oil.
Measured at reservoir conditions, 86.3 barrels per day enter the wellbore. The oil is processed through a separator into a stock
tank. The stock tank accumulates 57.9 barrels of 44.9 API oil each day. The separator produces 43150 scf/d of 0.724 gravity gas,
and the stock tank vernts 7240 scf/d of 1.333 gravity gas. What is the formation volume factor of the oil? What is the solution gas-
oil ratio?
