Huntington Beach, CA The City of Huntington Beach was named in the Top 20 of
WalletHubs ranking of 150 cities as the Best-Run City in America ranking 15th on
the list. The next closest California city on the list was Santa Ana, coming in at #51.
To determine the effectiveness of local leadership, WalletHubs analysts compared
150 of the largest U.S. cities based on their operating efficiency. For each city, the ana-
lysts constructed a Quality of City Services score comprising 33 key performance
indicators grouped into six service categories that was then measured against the
citys total per-capita budget. To that end, Huntington Beach scored #1 in Quality of
City Services.
It is refreshing to see Huntington Beach ranked so high in offering the best quality
of life to our residents, businesses and visitors and its being noticed nationally, said
City Manager Fred A. Wilson. Im proud of our city for being ranked as the only
California city in the top 50 as a Best-Run City. Our city council, as well as staff,
always seeks to put our taxpayers first - and it pays off.

REICHSERNTEDANKFEST
RALLY
The Reichserntedankfest rally (Thanksgiving Celebration of the
Reich) took place in Buckeberg in 1934.
The rally attracted about 700,000 participants. It was an unprece-
dentedly large gathering, many people had never been present at such
an event.
The effect was powerful and certainly bolstered public morale and
Nazi loyalty among German citizens. Photos of the Thanksgiving Cel-
ebration are sometimes mistaken for rallies at Nurnberg.
