CIRCULAR
Online submission of forms of Compartment/6th subject for Class XII and Improvement
of Performance (IOP) Exam by Private Candidates 2017.

The Online submission of Compartment form for candidates placed in COMPARTMENT


(Class XII) and EIOP in Class X for the examination scheduled to be held in July 2017 has been
started.

Eligibility, Fee, detailed procedure of submitting online application is described in the


Annexures. Students/Parents are advised to go through the eligibility and detailed procedure
before applying.

Candidates who have appeared in March 2017 Examination as a Private Candidate and
placed under compartment (Class XII) or in EIOP (Class X) will be eligible to apply through the
CBSE website. Details in respect of students who are eligible to apply will be auto-generated in the
online system. If a candidate makes wrong entries in his/her application form or submits false
information, statement or produces false document, his/her form shall be rejected and fee paid shall
be forfeited.

Merely Submission of form and fee would not entitle a candidate to appear for the
Compartment/IOP Examination and those who are applying for the Examination should ensure
that they fulfill all eligibility criteria as stipulated in the circular. If it is found at any stage that
he/she does not fulfill the stipulated criteria, his/her application will be cancelled and fee forfeited.

Parents/Candidates may note that confirmation page alongwith enclosures is to be


submitted to the respective Regional Office by Hand/Speed Post.

This circular is meant only for Private candidates. Regular candidates of CBSE affiliated
schools who have appeared for March 2017 Examination and placed under Compartment/EIOP
should approach the school from which they have appeared in Class XII / X exam held in March

CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


COMPARTMENT Candidate declared as COMPARTMENT in March 2017 or March
(1 SUBJECT) 2016 (who appeared as full subject candidate and placed in
compartment is eligible to apply only in one subject in which
he/she has been placed in Compartment

Note:
1. Candidates who appeared in 6 subjects in Examination held in March 2016/ or March 2017 and
result is COMPT due to failing in one Main subject and one additional subject; has option to
apply one of the 2 subject( main/additional). Compartment Examination 2017 will be the last
chance for candidates who appeared class XII Examination held in March 2016 Examination.

2. Candidates who have appeared in 6 subjects in March 2017 and declared PASS but could not
clear one subject can appear in that subject in July 2017 Examination as an Improvement
category.

3. Candidate who have taken 5 subjects and result in FAIL in March 2017 due to failing in 2
subjects (or more) are not eligible for this Compartment Examination July 2017. Such
candidates are advised to apply as a Private Candidate for Examination ( in all or 2 subjects) to
be held in March 2018.

A. CANDIDATE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR CLASS X IMPROVEMENT OF
PERFORMANCE EXAMINATION TO BE HELD IN JULY 2017
CATEGORY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
IMPROVEMENT OF Candidate who applied through Private Application form and
PERFORMANCE appeared for Class X Examination held in March 2017 and placed in
the category EIOP is only eligible to apply.

Note:
In Class X there is only one chance of Improvement for the candidates who have been awarded EIOP
in Mar 2017 Examination. In case a candidate of Mar 2017 with EIOP fails to clear the Jul 2017
examination and gets result NIOP, he will not get any further chance for Improvement. Such
candidates however can appear afresh for March 2018 Examination with full subjects
privately/through CBSE affiliated school.

Candidates who have already PASS in March 2017 Examination and intend to improve their
performance should apply through Private/IOP online form during the month of Oct/Nov 2017.

Procedure of submitting online application
I. Enter your Roll No. School No., Centre No. as mentioned in the admit card.
II. Enter your address and select the subject (Class XII only)
III. Submit the application and note down Application ID.
IV. Upload your recent Color Photograph (max size 50 KB; JPG) and Signature (max
size 4 KB; JPG)
V. Go to Fee payment option and make payment.
VI. Take print of confirmation page
VII. Sign the confirmation page.
VIII. Signed copy of confirmation page, copy of Marksheet along with proof of deposited
Fee (e-Challan) should be sent to Regional Officer, CBSE Regional Office within 7
days as per address given in confirmation page.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Candidates who have appeared for March 2017 Examination as regular candidates from
CBSE affiliated institutions should approach the schools from which they have appeared in
Class XII / X.
2. Candidate will be able to download the Admit Cards from the website of CBSE
www.cbse.nic.in from 2nd week of July 2017. In case of any discrepancy in the Admit card
candidates should contact concerned Regional Office of the Board.
3. Previous mark-sheet is not to be surrendered to the Board.
4. In class XII Consolidated marksheet will be issued only to Candidates whose result was
declared COMPT in 2016/2017 examination and thereafter declared Pass in Compartment
July 2017 examination.
5. Consolidated marksheet will not be issued to class XII candidates whose result is already
Pass and now appearing for Improvement of Performance or those whose result after July
2017 is Re-comptt.
6. Candidate will be examined only in the Syllabus as prescribed for the year of Examination.
The Student must go through the eligibility and pass criteria as well as current curriculum
and scheme of studies available on CBSE website carefully before filling the form.
7. Visually impaired candidates of All India/Delhi Scheme are exempted from examination fee
of Class X/XII.
Payment Instruction
Candidates from INDIA:
(a) Debit Card/ Net Banking
(b) e-Challan of ICICI Bank and Syndicate Bank

Debit Card/ Net Banking


If the payment mode is selected as Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking, you will be taken to payment
gateway website for online payment. In case of any link break or network failure due to which your
application status is not updated but amount has been debited from your account, then DO NOT
TRY PAYING FEE AGAIN. You are also advised not to change the payment mode if fee is already
debited from your account.

e- Challan of ICICI Bank and Syndicate Bank


a) In case payment is made through e-Challan cash will be deposited in the Branch of respective
Bank.

For all queries including non-updation of fee status on CBSE portal, duplicate payments etc. please
send an e- mail to the respective Regional Officer and a copy of the same to bank official.

Details Candidates from OUTSIDE INDIA:


Applicants from Outside India should send Fee through Demand Draft favouring
Secretary, CBSE payable at the place of Regional Office so as to reach within 7 days of the
online submission of the application. Application No. and Roll No. of candidate must be written on
backside of the Demand Draft. They are also requested to enter the details of DD such as DD no., name of the bank etc. in the
appropriate column and upload the scanned copy of DD

Those candidates who wish to send wire transfer from outside India can take print of e-
challan of any Bank and remit the fee to this account and upload the wire transfer proof in
place of e-challan. They sould select DD mode for uploading the proof of payment.
