How to design a particular building as a green building? In general, we have to consider thermal
performance, daylighting, water conservation, waste management, ventilation and electrical systems etc.,

"Reduce reuse and recycle" is one of the basic tenets of Green construction.

If I were to incorporate greenness in my structural design, I will try to optimise the utilisation of
materials.

I will prefer pozzolana cement to OPC. Slag cement is probably better than flyash cement

I will try to use materials with recycled content in steel and other materials.

I will try to use suitable construction debris for plain concrete

Since transportation involves unsustainable use of fossil fuels, I will specify materials from nearby
sources.

Use of good quality M sand is preferable to the use of river sand.

Architects and electrical engineers have much larger scope in ensuring a green building

Other SEFIANS will no doubt add to the above list

The immortal bridge

No one really knows how these enormous rocks fell in this unusual
place. Together they form a natural bridge spanning over a seemingly
bottomless ravine. This so called immortal bridge can be found on
Mount Tai in the Chinese province of Shangdong.
