Japan is an insular country that spreads along the Pacific coast of the north-east of Asia. The
principal island is Honshu, and other bigger three are Hokkaido, in the north of the country, and
Shikoku and Kyushu in the south. More than 4.000 small islands surround these four principal
ones. The principal islands are connected by means of a modern system of transport
Religion of Japan
The majority religions in Japan are the Shintoism and the Buddhism. The two have been coexisting
together for a long time and the majority of Japanese declare themselves sintoistas, Buddhists or
of both religions.
The Shintoism is an original religion of Japan. Unlike other majority religions the Shintoism neither
takes sacred books as the bible in the christianity it does not have a founder either
The Shintoism bases on the adoration the gods "Kami", these gods base on the phenomena as the
rain, the wind in concepts like the mercy, the fertility or in the stars like the moon or the Sun.
When the persons die also they turn into "Kami" and are venerated by his family. The important
kami mas of the Shintoism is "Amaterasu" the god of the Sun.
Unlike other religions in the Shintoism there are no absolutisms. Nothing is absolutely correct or
bad. The religion sintoista is an optimistic faith that he says that every person is fundamentally
good and that the this evilness caused by the influence of the bad spirits.
The temples Sintoistas are dedicated to a specific kami. In the income to the temples always there
are a few Torii in the income that represent an entry for the gods in whom it passes from the finite
world of the mortal ones to the infinite world of the kami.
The Buddhism
The Buddhism is an original religion of India that spread over Japan imported from China and
Korea. The Buddhism this one based on the educations of Buda, Gautama Siddharta. It is difficult
to define the Buddhism since mas that a religion is a philosophy or a way of life. Basically it is a
question of eliminating any vital unsatisfactory feeling that normally is due to the ignorance or the
erroneous perception of the nature, of the life and of the existence.
There are three big movements of Buddhism but the adopted child for Japan is so called "
Buddhism Mahayana " that is the same that they practise in China, Tibet, Korea between other
Asian countries.

Since we can see the religion in Japan it has marked a few guidelines in the behavior of the
Japanese, and though at present the religion is not promoted very much, this behavior has been
adopted as the Japanese company.
