Project Title 2: Value Stream Mapping & OEE Improvement of the Filling Line
Performed Value Stream Mapping (VSM) of the filling line using ARENA simulation software.
Employed DMAIC tool & applied SIPOC for identification of key performance drivers in the filling line
Developed Pareto Chart of past month on month data to obtain major losses & Bottlenecks in the process
Methodology Performed RCA & Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for identification of underlying reasons for losses.
Created Spaghetti Diagram for line clearance activity & done ECRS study to mitigate top production loss.
Identification and Elimination of the waste in working area through 5S methodology to focus on Kaizen.
Defined New SOP for Line Clearance activity, trained the employees and implemented the new plan
Reduced Line clearance processing time by 20% by adopting right methodology and tools.
Deliverables
Recorded OEE improvement of about 5% from the currently defined value at the end of the project
Improvement and 5S done in the filling area in appreciated by Production Manager during Gemba Walk.
