Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation
and leadership from completing this field experience?

I partnered with my colleague, Ms. Momon, to assess her needs for technology integration,
investigated digital tools that might meet her instructional needs, and developed a technology
workshop that complemented her personal and professional goals. The coaching experience
allowed me to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and dispositions as a technology coach. I was able
to model and facilitate the effective use of digital tools. The technology workshop allowed me to
improve my professional practice as a developer of technology rich professional learning
experiences.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
Knowledge- As a technology leader, I need the process involved in assessing the professional
learning needs of my colleagues and analyze the data from surveys to model and facilitate the use
of digital tools and resources to engage students in authentic learning experiences.

Skills- As a technology leader, I need to perfect my skills to develop, model, and facilitate the use
of online and blended learning, digital content, to extend student learning and professional growth.

Dispositions- As a technology leader, I need to be able to work with teachers and make them feel
comfortable with transforming as innovators. Mutual respect goes a long way toward
communicating and teaching adults. I feel comfortable with the partnership philosophy as a
foundation to building technology rich professional learning experiences.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?

This field experience has improved the professional praxis of myself and my colleague. As a result
of this learning experience, Ms. Momon can now use One Note Classroom to add her students,
organize content according subject area, and send content to them and provide constructive
feedback. The technology workshop remains as a resource for other teachers to explore and learn.
