Technology and at Seattle Central Community College. Practicing dental hygienist with over 20
years experience.

lesson plans. Proficient in motivating and leading students to achieve course goals, departmental
goals, and college-wide goals. Guide collaborative learning during block meetings. Provide realistic

HIGHLIGHTS

Major contributor for curriculum updates (including competencies, syllabi, patient requirements,
and grading criteria) to create clear expectations and clinical grading resulting in ease of instructor
calibration as well as written clarification for students to adhere by.
Designed and developed a tracking spreadsheet for early identification of struggling students for
remedial intervention.
Served in capacity of 2nd year lead Instructor for 3 years (11 quarters) at LWTech and 20 months
(7 quarters) at Seattle Central Community College.
Exceed required number of yearly continuing education courses and professional development for
licensure to maintain knowledge of current research, federal and state policy, technological
advancements, latest ergonomic research, and teaching modalities.
Teach or have taught 1st and 2nd year clinic; didactic courses, and provide one-on-one instruction
to assist struggling students become competent in all skill sets.
Effective collaboration with the 1st year lead and restorative lead instructors with curriculum
updates and changes.
Collaborate with and mentor the Community Dental Health lead instructor to pursue affiliations
with community health dental clinics to increase exposure to diverse patient populations.
Mentor part-time faculty as they pursue advanced degrees.
Advocate during legislation to advance the profession of dental hygiene by creating a mid-level
dental provider.
